Here's video of AJ's corner stopping the fight at the end of rd 12 when AJ was being battered on the ropes. Also, the bell rang to end the fight around 9 seconds early. Here's video proof.

What do you think? Kind of hard to argue.
A later edit for accuracy: The round was actually exactly 3:00 mins long and the clocks were just off on DAZN and SKY from what I've researched.
They don’t throw the towel in the ring sometimes in the UK because if the ref doesn’t agree, they throw the towel back out, It happened in a fight recently.
So some wave the towel to get the refs attention like Dominic Ingle did in the GGG fight for Brook. AJ’s corner we’re doing the same, to stop the fight.
Exactly my point. I think they were stopping it. No other explanation makes sense.
- -Sorry to hear U was battered so terribly.
Was it mental, physical, or bof?
No idea what you're talking about but not surprised. I'm not AJ. I do sense some sore feelings about my topic, though :bottle::bottle::bottle:
AJ was laughing right in Usyks face and sticking his tongue at him, saying ‘is that the best you got big man?’
Usyk is in big trouble in the rematch, no more nice nice AJ
Strange way to behave after a dominant loss. Get battered and embarrassed for 12 rounds "is that all you got?"
Based on the towel waiving, he technically DID get stopped. That's my whole point. I think the corner was surrendering.
If you don't think so, great. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
I just don't think corners waive white towels on the steps of the ring while their fighter is taking shots on the ropes for fun or to celebrate.
They were stopping the fight, regardless of the time clock.

Lmfao Robbie! I do think you're a proper, proper twat. But you do provide humour sometimes. That is a slightly redeeming quality. AJ's corner cheering and waving the white flag, with McCracken shouting "Brilliant Josh!", while AJ gets battered on the ropes and saved by the bell! Haha...
Totally believable. Here they are cheering on Kell Brook

Look at my join date. Obviously not. But the fact of the matter is, he wasn't going to get stopped in those last 15-10 seconds no matter how much people wish it happened. He had enough in him to stay up or get up. People just need to get over it.

They knew it was the last few seconds of an exciting fight and were celebrating with the fans.
Celebrating their own man getting outclassed from start to finish and being saved by the bell
:lol1:

Who cares, no matter how you look at it, he got his ass beat and lost.
Usyk is gonna be all over him in the rematch.
Usyk TKO 11
I tend to agree with all of the bolded, but with that new info coming to fruition, felt like it was a compelling discussion. :boxing:
They knew it was the last few seconds of an exciting fight and were celebrating with the fans. If they wanted to stop the fight the wouldn't swing the towel outside the damn ring they'd have thrown it or got on the apron. Your thread has been a complete fail.
That statement is a complete fail
It matters because a stoppage looks a lot better than a decision win. Does that really have to be explained to you?

Imagine if that’s how you stop a fight by waving it in back of the referee at a good distance ? This guy must suffer from multiple personality disorder, it’s like some posters go out of there way to be stupid . :lol1:
AGAIN: So, you're going with a towel being swung around as a celebration as well? While AJ is getting abused on the ropes? Am I hearing that correctly? Just so everyone else can see what you're made of :footinmou
No, someone swinging a towel has nothing to do with a boxing conversation.
You can debate why it was happening. Feel free to offer an opinion. But it's not how you stop a fight. :dunce: I swear, you people on here are morons. Let's just say they are complete idiots and were celebrating getting pummeled on the ropes, then :pat:
Lol so, a corner ending a fight has nothing to do with a boxing conversation? Okay :stupid:

It doesn’t take knowledge to know when enough posters tell you it wasn’t a motion for trying to stop a fight but you continued to debate it anyway ,it’s called common sense isn’t it ? This will be included in my dumbest threads of the year right behind the guy who said rematch clauses isn’t a norm in championship fights . :lol1:
Ha ha ha .......You never cease to amaze me. I guess you can be the one to call out dumb threads, can't you?
Isn't that any thread that possibly criticizes your hero AJ? Yeah, it is. Too funny.

You can have whatever opinion you want about towels. Not relevant to any kind of boxing discussion though.
