He will win at least 8-9 rounds and that's what the scorecards will be. Putting the house on Plant.
I want Canelo to win but I don't think he has a chance. The beating will be so obvious that the judges can't even rob him.
canelo was a grown man who offered to fight at 152
If he was skeletor then whose fault was that?
did his momma make him fight at 152?
canelo offered 152 on a different negotiation, couple of years earllier when he was still capable without draining...
canelo accepted 152 cuz he was the b side and it was either that or no fight, a mistake from him if you ask me, cuz he really didnt need that fight so early...

I respect your opinion but think its wrong(like I told you v Bjs when you said the same thing) I expect Canelo by late ko or wide decision.
Hes going to cut that Plant with 250 razor blade counters & lead left hooks to the head & body(Canelo lands so many downstairs because a fighter has to commit to defending the face/neck or risk getting hit clean & getting ktfo, which leaves downstairs open. )
No chance Canelo loses to him by UD or even SD. I am no Canelo fan, but he's just too good for these guys. I expect at worst a 116-112 or late stoppage.
Maidana wasnt skeletor at the weigh in
canelo was a grown man who offered to fight at 152

and if you are wrong cashapp me $12 for a 6 pack....deal??
Ok, so if I am wrong and Plant loses / gets a draw I cashapp you $12, and if Plant wins a decision I get mod? that's a deal.
SRR would favor Canelo as an “authentic boxer” over Plant. Plant THINKS he is Mayweather. We seen Berto and Broner try to mimic Floyd too. Just because Plant is the biggest version of the mimicking doesn’t mean it translates well against a AN AUTHENTIC FIGHTER. What’s wrong with you soft kids? You guys have no idea what it’s like to spar. Even the best “pure boxers” can have off days and get swarmed by their regular nobody sparring partner.
Caleb Plant is going to feel power that Uzcategui nor Truax could land. That’s not theory. That’s realistic fighting.
Plant has confidence and wants to win... The rest is totally conjecture from your Nelo addled psyche. An authentic fighter? The opinion of Robinson? What are you on about? And Im not a "soft kid" whatever that is. I fought for years in martial arts, and know what its like to bang around a bit... do you? Your assumption is totally off about sparring. I used to have a premier fighting club near Washington DC where we had sparring all day on weekends...
Stop making assumptions sheesh! to be clear here: I am not trying to brag about myself...Im simply showing you how you are totally off. I wouldn't say I know what you have done fighting wise... I just don't know, though by the sound of it... not much lol.
That makes absolutely no sense but I credit you for TRYING. There is no narrative in the existence, by any fan hood or industry media that the judges who gave the fight to Floyd were incompetent nor investigated. Lol. There is no “if” he won two rounds. All the judges have Canelo more than 3 rounds, and Moretti - the most respected judge in Vegas and a Floyd fan, gave Canelo 4 rounds. If Canelo didn’t win any of the rounds then Metcalf or Moretti would’ve been investigated, and there would’ve been industry uproar, not just on Ross. In fact Ross was only 2 rounds more than Moretti and she didn’t even have Canelo winning. The difference between Moretti and Ross or fans saying Canelo didn’t win any round vs Metcalf’s card suggests it’s all fake propaganda by Canelo haters or Floyd purists, just fabricating what really happened.
What really happened was, canelo was outclassed and one judge wasn't watching the fight. I never said canelo didn't win a round, I said "it wasn't because he did anything, it was because fraud did nothing". 3 rounds I can see, 4 rounds we are stretching, 6 rounds is incompetency. And don't say "just two rounds', two rounds makes a big difference. Be safe
Canelo in the first two rounds could’ve been swing rounds. The second half Canelo gained momentum trying to catch Floyd and Floyd become less impressive than the first half. So a judge can forget Olympic type of scoring or fleeing and base DAMAGE from the FIGHT. Boxing is also fighting not some let’s play nice point system. One card can only be controversial if affected the outcome of the fight. Even if Ross had Canelo winning, two other judges overruled by a stronger margin, not 115-113 x 2 vs Ross.
The fact that one judge scored the fight a draw, was, for lack of a better word, incompetence. The ginger was completely outclassed and if he won two rounds, it wasn't because he did anything, it was because fraud did nothing. A couple fights later, he again looked like an amateur, one judge gave him 9 rounds in a fight, that if he won 4 rounds was not because of his boxing ability, it was because his rival took the round off. Be safe.
floyd caused more damage. canelo barely touched him. by any scoring basis, floyd won nearly every single round. you have to actively look to give canelo pitty rounds. which is way a draw was an embarrassment of a scorecard.
- -No damage to either in that pillow fight.
Y U embarrassment to NSB
No. Lara vs Williams was an embarrassment. Judge those 3 judges for that outcome.
you need to rewatch that fight. Most of that fight’s highlights rinsed to death was from the first half. I’ve for years have Canelo 3-4 rounds at best. I already said Ross probably had a gripe with Floyd. Who knows, maybe she was hit once and she just felt that the runner former convict didn’t deserve “that” round. :). It’s Champion vs Champion anyways. Imagine if Ward had been a Champion unifying with Kovalev? Those circumstances make a difference. Let’s not pretend judges don’t have bias, and Floyd’s style isn’t the standard for boxing.
What 3-4 rounds did you have Canelo winning?
It is what it is, that’s the moment of the generation. Most that say “Canelo didn’t even win a round against Floyd” are predominantly black boxing fans. You hear them call in all the time on the Boxing Voice. There is truth though that these fans have acquired a suspension of disbelief that Floyd can’t lose rounds… then again an unorthodox fighter like Maidana can change the tone. Judges know that a boxer CAN do what Chino did granted if they have a chin, but they go by what is presented. It’s obvious Canelo was TRYING to box Floyd, but failed. That’s why fighters can change their strategy to simply fighting than pure elite fundamentals. That is what Ross saw.
Personally I don’t think Ross was even bribed a bit. I think she quit the sport knowing that she wanted to give any type of swing round to Canelo. This even translated to the Lara fight. At some point fans have to acknowledge and give benefit of the doubt to the aggressor. That’s the thing, boxing fans forget that judges aren’t required to score the fight based on Olympic style (which predominantly tag-you’re-it-I-scored). Pro boxing is REAL FIGHTING, so interpretation is completely different.
Canelo haters (this generations side fans of Floyd and PAC) always like to create fake narratives because they’re in limbo for their favorite fighter gone, so just cast doubt on someone new, and unfortunately a lot of his race based. They like to say that Canelo fans feel the Mexican won or that the DrAw was justified. I have acknowledged many times that Canelo lost fair and square to Floyd.
The haters try their very best to never acknowledge the rematch for either Cotto or Canelo’s Lineal Middleweight titles. Cotto and Canelo punched significantly harder when they were heaviest. I never seen Floyd pushed off his feet like in the Canelo fight in other fights. So at 154-160 I’m sure Floyd made the fight decision to never fight him again. He was even scared that perhaps another Ross type would intervene even though he would have 2 other judges on his side. The odds got thinner with Floyd going northbound… for a guy who said Cotto and Canelo “were easy.”
Maidana and Canelo fights were nothing alike. what does that have anything to do with anything. Maidana performed far better than canelo did.

I love how canelo haters change narratives as time passes. First Canelo lost a clear 115-113 fight then it was 116-112 then 117-111 to now its was a total shutout canelo didn’t even win a rd according to these clowns. Lol
Those are the same jokes that believed Donaty wilders weak ass excuses.
Canelo/Floyd was never 115-113, or even 116-112. It was a MINIMUM 117-111.
Plants won his fights... Thats the best he can have done. What more can one ask for? Actually nobody really knows how good Plant is because he is taking it to the next level.
I agree
A person can only beat those he fight. Still not a reason as to why Nelo should be wary.
Plant is a ''champ'' and his time of fighting unknowns is over.
Imho, I can't see him doing better than BHS.
These boards were full of people who were angry at Wilder...angry because he dared to think he had a chance to beat Fury. He was holding up the works because the invincible Anthony Joshua was waiting for his clash with the Gypsy Titan...
Well now... The invincible Joshua lost to a Ukranian guy who, with the right haircut looks like 'Lurch' of the Adam's family...
And Wilder? He did not win, but he made a real good scrap of it! And some of the same people crying for his head now compare that fight to classic battles in the ring.
How dare Wilder believe in himself?
How dare Plant not treat Canelo like Thug Nelo does?
Lets see how this plays out. The judges may be bought and paid for, but people will know if Plant succeeds in challenging Canelo...
We will see how this plays out. Almost losing to Trout and Lara is not a knock against Nelo (people make it sound as if Nelo CLEARLY lost those fights). Every guy is confident they will win. Some of those guys display of confidence comes off as fake. Just trying to psych themselves uponly to give a piss poor performance.
If Plant had a decent win, I can see how Nelo might have problems.,
