Usyk has the skills and pedigree of Loma BUT he is built more solid, with a better chin, power, and most importantly HEART.
Usyk ain't a novice like Wilder lol Usyk is Einstein in that ring.
He would take the boar-eating Gypsy to deep waters and drown him.
Usyk is the rightful P4P King.
The main question is: which Fury would we see against Usyk?
1. Fury-Wilder 1-type Fury, who was very mobile for his size and used his reflexes and movement as well as reach very well? That would be difficult for Usyk; I would have Fury as the clear favourite.
2. Fury-Wilder 2/3-type Fury, who relied on his weight and inside abilities against a technically limited opponent that was unable to evade him? In that scenario I would slightly favour Usyk, if he doesn't get caught with something big.
Fury and Usyk have similar ring IQs, but I'd put Fury ahead of Usyk down to his defence. Fury also has a significant height and weight advantage.
Usyk is probably the most challenging opponent in the division for Fury but like I've said on here before there is NOBODY in this division capable of beating him. He's going to retire undefeated.
It should also be remembered that Fury had 2 years worth of ring rust last night so he wasn't performing at his best. He won't have that ring rust if/when they fight for Unification.
fury wont box usyk, he will crowd him with his size
AJ tried to box usyk for most of the fight.
Fury should be able to close the distance with usyk with those giant ostrich legs. I mean shot chisora didnt have a hard time closing the distance on usyk. AJ fought a dumb strategy with usyk.
I think the insane height/reach difference combined with Fury being mobile and quick for his size would be too much for Usyk. I doubt he'd get hurt by Fury but I cant see him getting to Fury enough to outpoint him. It'd probably be quite a boring fight tbh.
I thought Usyk was gonna be a bit too small for these massive heavyweights but his win over Joshua made a believer out of me. He carried the weight extremely well and if anything, looked the more dangerous of the two. Fury isn't that much bigger than Joshua, and cruiserweights have had him over before.
Going off their last performances, Usyk beats Fury.
I think Fury might be too big for him. Joshua didn't try and rough him up at all, didn't lean on him, didn't do anything to wear him down, and also cant fight on the inside.
Fury is a fighter with many layers. He can fight the big man fight keeping it long and outside all night with his legs, he can crowd you and fight inside, he can make it ugly and lean on you, and he is defensively very good. He has 6 inches in height on him, and 7 inches in reach, and he is much better than Joshua.
Maybe he can do it. He has the skills, but Fury is a giant, and he knows how to impose his size in many different ways.
If this fight happens fury will go down as the best of this era, however if usyk wins against fury he will go down as a top tier atg and goat cruiserweight without a doubt
Usyk hasn't been tested yet. He had 2 mediocre performances at HW before the AJ fight, but he was never in trouble or in any danger. Fury is too big, lengthy arm and skilled. I think usyk could get mauled by fury.
