He doesn't seem like someone who will want to retire.
AJ, Usyk, Whyte, Joyce aren't realistic options.
So who would be the best opponent to bring him back into contention?
Ortiz is a waste of time IMHO.
Ruiz is a good option I think, to prove he's still relevant.
Rivas, for the Bridgerweight title, might be a good idea.
They'd both get paid well and Wilder might become two-weight champ, albeit in the fake division.
A highlight reel KO of an ageing Chisora or Pulev is low-risk high-reward, as they are both somehow ranked Top 10 on Boxrec.
A funnier scenario would be a Wilder vs Hughie Fury fight. Wilder can pretend that flattening Tyson's cousin is a justification for a fourth shot at Tyson.
None of these fights matter because all the fighters to casual fans are not Tyson Fury or Usyk for better or worse Wilder earned their respect but they don’t have interest in watching him fight.

Pointless fighting that level of guy. He doesn't need to work his way up the rankings taking risky fights.
He's got commercial value. He should highlight knockout someone like Pianeta or Seferi and then bring that commercial value back to the table.
it's time for prospects to be contenders. Wilder will stay relevant if he face tougher opponents and not cherry picking like when he had the belt, which means fighting prime opponents age late 20's to early 30s. Although Wilder is 35, I see that he's still physically strong given relatively few rounds throughout his careers. Ruiz, Whyte, DDD, Parker, Yoka, Hrgovic, or even Gassiev are good options to gear up before another championship fight, if the opportunity arises. Depends on how Usyk AJ rematch, I think eventually the one of belts will be dropped by the champion if fail to commit mandatory fights
He'd probably destroy Martin and possibly destroy Helenius too. So those are good options to make him look good so he can finally get a massive payday fighting Joshua in a UK stadium in late 2022.
hes the probably king! in reality he got stopped twice by the paulie maliganggi of heavyweight.
I'd like him to take on a bit of a soft touch and then go after Ruiz/Wallin/Whyte if he can't get Joshua.
Joshua vs Wilder is still a big fight even if Joshua loses to Usyk in a rematch.
Ruiz, Martin or Helenius.
