that's crazy, only 19 fights and unified cruiserweight and now unified HW champion.... theres no filler, he fights the best at their home areas, the only really "warm up:" fights he has was Witherspoon and Chisora but that was him adjusting to HW
Some fighters stay in the amateurs for a while, others turn pro early.
Jared Anderson may not have a lot of amateur fights, but who cares, he's 21 years old and making good money in the pro game.
It's the modern era. We're never going to see guys with 100 + pro bouts anymore, We won't see many with 50+. People are staying amateur longer, doing the WSB, turning pro later, and having less fights when they do. There's a lot of world top 10 rated guys these days with between 10-20 pro fights to their name which was unusual even when I started seriously following boxing about 15 years ago. Times change fast.

- -Usyk looks even better if U shaddup about him...:thanks:
He fought in the WSB, while not being officially pro fights, they pretty much are and way more useful than knocking over 10 bums in early pro fights learning nothing.
so I don’t care much for the ‘only 19 fights”
Guys coming out of the WSB at mid 20’s have way more experience than fighters turning pro at 20 and fighting in a load of 4 and 6 rounders.
