Which fight just pops in your mind when you think about him? Ironically enough, two of the three fights that I will remember the most involved him losing (EM I and JMM IV). But those were just fantastic fights and with iconic moments. Morales switching to southpaw in the 12th round was both stupid and iconic at the same time...And then the JMM IV fight was arguably the best of the decade and just an all time rivalry ending in an emphatic way....The other fight would be the DLH fight. The Cotto win will look better and he may have been better that fight but what Manny did did to DLH was amazing. Just completely destroyed the far bigger man and at that time many questioned his decision to move up to WW.
Just an unbelievable career and as I stated last week, he has a case for being the best fighter since the 80s.
Again, huge thanks to the legend as it was an honor and privilege to witness his career.
Watching the Tyson undercard and seeing some filipino dude with highlights on his hair going in there and taking care of business. Was crazy to see that.
The David Diaz fight is the fight that actually got me starting to think dam this dude might be able to take on Floyd. That fight was at 135 but seeing manny weighing on fight night at WW made that idea come up, and lone and behold he actually went up to 147 right after
I remember this too. At that time I wasn't into boxing yet. My father had the PPV and I recall stumbling into the living room and this fight was just about to kick off. The fight was over so fast I was like, damn, dude is a beast.
Little did I know, I would eventually follow him hardcore as I got a few years older and discovered him officially through the Barrera 1 fight.
Pac-Barrera 1 got me into boxing hardcore. Loved the underdog vibes it had and the manner of which Pac destroyed Barrera. Besides that fight, the fights that I've watched tons of times,
Pac-Morales 1
Pac-Morales 2
Pac-Morales 3
Pac-Hatton
Pac-ODLH
Pac-Cotto
Pac-Margarito
Pac-Marquez 1
Pac-Marquez 2
Pac-Ledwaba
Pac-Jorge Julio
Pac-Lucero
Pac-David Diaz
Pac-Thurman
I'm probably forgetting some now but these all had memorable moments and stand out performances from Pac. The older fights on that list I probably analyzed a zillion times when I was younger. I've also watched obviously all his other battles he had with every other opponent but they're not as stand out worthy, yet still contain plenty of action and entertainment than the majority of fights these days.

Even after destroying DLH/Hatton, people still had questions about just how good of a WW he is, and then boom, he beats the dog ish out of Cotto. ATG stuff.
Just a real shame we never got Mayweather-Pacquiao around that point. As great as they both were, they let us down not delivering that matchup whilst they were at their peaks.
Yeah I agree. The way he destroyed Cotto was crazy impressive

him Splattering Hatton across that Canvas is one of them for sure
