If you go back and watch Lewis and Klitschko fights after their ko losses, they both stepped down in quality, and both of them looked shaky and nervy in their first few fights post KO
Lewis didn't jump straight back in with McCall, he didn't rematch him for almost 3 years after fighting two bums then a dangerous but fragile and limited Morrison.
Same with Klitschko, he stepped it WAY back after his losses and rebuilt.
Again, they DIDN'T look the same in those first few FIGHTS, They looked hesitent and nervy, JUST LIKE JOSHUA DOESN'T.
Joshua needs to REBUILD. he has not done that, that's why there's no confidence, there's no swagger, he's nervous. He needs to dominate 3-4 opponents and beat the shit out of them whilst learning new things. Start believing he's the hammer again.
Hearn can't just keep throwing him back in at top level, he's going to have his career ended, Wlad and Lewis didn't do this, they took the time they needed to become better fighters.
I'm not sure if you actually read the opening post before rampaging in to unload your emotional baggage in my thread?
Wlad certainly did not "get clipped" he was taken into deep water and drowned twice by more seasoned pros, and against Sanders he was charged down and beaten up, he was dominated three times in arguably worse fashion than Joshua ever has. Then he learned and evolved over time to make sure that wouldn't happen again and beat far better fighters than he lost to in the past.
And also, I never compared this to the Ruiz fight, I'm talking about Joshuas mental and skill gaps which he needs time and quality training to overcome. I DON'T think he should rematch Usyk and I never said as much.
We don't "Hate" on fighters in my threads and we don't get emotionally over invested, we analyse objectivley.
point is...AJ is no Wlad or Lennox...PERIOD!
Wlad and Lennox got Clipped...AJ was completely Out-Classed on Saturday, yet somehow according to AJ biggest Groupies, we are to believe that he will just run it back with Usyk and blast him out when he could barely hurt Usyk the first time around. Usyk was NEVER in any serious trouble even when he was hurt at the end of the 5th or 6th I think it was
Mind You Usyk stayed in the pocket with AJ, he didn't run from him. He Stayed on the outside of his Lead Leg and timed that Left Beautifully ALL FIGHT
This is not a Ruiz situation at all. All this isn't "New" to Usyk, the man dominated Amateurs, Won Olympic Gold and Unified the Cruiserweight Division so this won't be a Ruiz situation in which Usyk goes off and gains a ton of weight and no longer take boxing serious. Usyk will make his adjustments and come in better in the rematch. In fact I think Usyk applies more Pressure and try to stop AJ. He said his trainer told him not to go for the stoppage.

This "rebuilding" theory is nonsense yet tons of people in boxing believe in these tune ups. Joshua has been at the top his entire career. If he walks away from a Usyk rematch then it pretty much signifies the end. Joshua lacks a killer instinct and he needs to find it if he wants to remain at the top. Everybody in the division has his number now.
Yes he's been at the top (almost) his entire career
He didn't have that much amateur experience and was a novice pro when he won his second title vs klitschko.
These are part of the reasons he's got glaring holes in his game because his "learning fights" ended VERY early in his career when he was thrust into stadiums and relied on raw talent and basic fundamentals to win fights.
He has absoloutley NO veteran knowledge or tactics in his arsenal and he never had to overcome adversity on the way up so he has no idea how to cope with it now.
Why do you ignore the immediate Rahman rematch?
Because that was when Lewis was a veteran pro at the end of his career and he had already been through a rebuild and knew he could come back and dominate as he'd done it before.
Not hard to understand really.
Why do you ignore the immediate Rahman rematch?
I'm guessing because that was already Lewis as a finished product. The McCall loss was during his developmental phase when he was still working on becoming the great fighter we knew with the help of Steward (RIP).
