I think that it was an astute observation on Roy's part that Joshua should've not shown how beat up and exhausted he was before the decision was announced, because his demeanor could sway the judge, who might be on the fence.

I guess I was...thought I sounded like Kellerman. I didn't see whoever it was...only heard the voice. Well, I like Kellerman and really can't stand Grisham. I guess their voices sound kind of similar but Max is a lot more intelligent and well-spoken. That being said the whole DAZN team is pretty garbage but that's not a very hot take, especially on here. It's a three-way tie for 1st place for my most despised commentary around today. Brian Kenny, Chris Mannix, Ray Flores. DAZN will give you 2/3 on a bad night.

Roy is usually a very astute and intelligent commentator. He typically explains his keen observations very well and is a pleasure to listen to but he seemed quite off his game during long periods of this fight. He seemed to be over crediting Joshua until it was almost impossible to deny that he was taking a whooping. I think what was happening is that the commentators and Roy were expecting Joshua’s size and power to end up taking over, all the while they seemed to be missing the clinical dismantling that Usyk was doing to AJ.

Early on, they did even when it WAS clear they were Usyk rounds. It starts with Max and then Roy just echos him. They just support the agenda...the big money would have been Joshua vs the winner of Fury vs Wilder, and they were sucking up. As the fight progressed, Usyk became undeniably the front-runner no matter what they were trying to sell, and by the end they all were in agreement he was the man. I think they also look at live social media, and change their tune when they see the majority of people don't agree with them. Max Kellerman is annoying as hell to listen to. No wonder U can't score fights. Alot of resumption from you with that post regarding how others in this thread score fights. That's great that you turn the volume down. Do you turn the lights off and remove your clothes too? Y'know, just so you can get that scorecard just right? Who do you turn your scorecard into? He still says stupid shit like Joshua getting off his stool first has to be discouraging for Usyk. He only sounds good cause when it's usually Mora and Mannix, they suck ass.

I didn't see the dazn broadcast but watched his post fight interview. Didn't like him down playing a possible usyk vs fury fight (due to styles). I want to see the best vs the best and have 1 champion That's Roy. I don't agree with some of his takes (including the one you mention) but I can usually get where he's coming from.

He fit in with HBO and their heavy hitters. He shines amongst the DAZN folk because they are B-side. Yeah, that's the truth. I loved Manny Steward's commentary and Roy was right there with him. It was great hearing him call the fights, he made the DAZN broadcast seem decent.

I just wanted to say that I was pleasantly surprised to see RJJ as a color commentator on the DAZN broadcast. I always thought he was underrated when it came to his commentary on HBO. He is really good and so is Paulie. I miss big George alot these days, he was always good for a few laughs.
