-Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion.
-Unified Heavyweight Champion.
-Defeated 9 fighters in their own home country.
Has anyone else ever had a more impressive first 19 pro fights?
Beating 9 fighters all virtually world class with several being elite in their own backyard is extremely impressive given the bs advantages hometown fighters get with referees, ring size, judges etc
If most didn't have such advantages they wouldn't be where they are today and a lot of fighters crack under pressure and don't perform as well away from home same as in other sports.
It certainly has to count for something especially in this era. I mean look at the fight with Chisora the ring was basically the size of a damn telephone box
Too answer the question I think so. He has the best resume and is the most accomplished 19-0 fighter I can think of and I can't really even think of a close second.
I guess but a lot of these guys staying late into the amateurs before going pro have kind of changed things. Usually we think of 20 fights as some 19 year old or whatever. but you got guys now who have went through 2 olympics ect. A lot of the euro guys doing it. I guess what it does show is that amateur experience really can cross over to pro experience, especially for these guys mid 20s.
Yes. If Holyfield got an immediate shot at Tyson in his 19th fight it would be him easily.
Yeah Tyson > AJ obviously but I’m not sure Holyfield was ready after 18 fights, I feel he needed a few fights at HW to acclimate to the division.
It wasn’t a gift. It was a close fight.
Against a guy who won every round against Felix Trinidad, won 18 of 24 rounds against Shane Mosley and became the only three belt undisputed super welterweight champion in history.
Winky Wright is better than anyone Usyk has faced.
Nah Winky clearly won that fight.
The Trinidad he beat was pretty shot too.
Usyk has a better collection of wins than Vargas had in 19 fights, none were controversial either.
Lol at "defeated 9 guy's in their home country"
Fking guy's will try and make a record out of anything
That’s a big deal. Ever heard of Glen Johnson?
I can't think of anybody to achieve so much in their first 19 fights. With Rigo and Loma they might have done similar if only they turned pro sooner. Obviously every fighter is different and Usyk is very talented but in general it suggests the top amateurs should step up a bit quicker after turning pro and not risk stagnating or learning bad habits vs too many C level opponents. Josh Taylor recently unified in 18 fights as well which isn't as great as Usyk but still impressive.
Yeah Taylor would likely need to beat Crawford or Spence at 147 to eclipse Usyk.
Fernando Vargas beat Winky Wright and Ike Quartey in the same time period and became the youngest super welterweight champion of all time.
I think that’s way more impressive than Usyk clearing out a crap division and beating a champion who already lost to a fat guy.
Nah……
We all know he got a gift vs Winky too.
Probably not . . this win has catapulted him into ATG status.
Teofimo would have to move up to welterweight and beat Crawford and Spence to even be comparable.
Lol at this panzie getting triggered
Don't get mad at me because I'm not letting you pull records out your ass
Which records aren’t factual? You are clearly triggered you absolute cretin. This Usyk win hit you hard, huh?
What race specifically out of curiosity?
That other scumbag brought race into the topic. My guess is he's probably been in many boxingscene race related topics
As for you, you can't go around creating and pulling records out your ass for every little accomplishment.
And if you do and it's actually allowed to fly, this is where race could become a factor.
Everything I posted is factual, just deal with it you salty little pr***.
Usyk has had a historically impressive 19 fight career whether you like it or not. Get over it…
Or maybe you and your "boy's" are attempting to pull records out your ass because he's WHITE :dunno:
Never heard of that black army btw
I’m mixed race d***head…
Race has nothing to do with a fighters accomplishments. Get a life you sad f***er.
Oh he’s one of them weak ass n***** is he. Doesn’t surprise me.
You get a lot of that on here, white guys who won’t give black fighters credits, black guys who won’t give white fighters credit. It’s f***ing pathetic. :lol1:
you will never hear a black say that 90% of HW fighters are black but yet there are 2 WHITE champs. that is an accomplishment
mr black liberation army will not give Usyk any credit for his historic career cause he is WHITE

I could be wrong but I can't think of anyone who's achieved that much in only 19 pro fights, an argument can be made for him to be in any of the top 3 positions in the current p4p rankings. Not sure why there's some salty replies in this thread, it's a great achievement.
Again, I’m not talking about age, I’m talking about number of pro fights. Just answer the question or GTFOH. :lol1:

You just sound salty now man. Usyk’s wins on the road are very impressive, real boxing fans know…
Many fighters NEVER fight on the road.
