Matchroom Sport Chairman Eddie Hearn said: "Matchroom and DAZN's stacked upcoming schedule just got even better with these three blockbuster additions.

So according to Eddie, Whyte vs Otto is blockbuster, yet when Fury fought Otto, Eddie was saying stuff like this;

Is there a bigger hypocrite in boxing? I don't think so.
Otto is a bigger name now than he was then. Was he even ranked top 30 when Fury fought him? Nobody had heard of the guy. The fact you hold Whyte (who everyone calls a bum) to the same standard as Fury speaks volumes too.
This about sums it up. The circumstances are different.
This was my assessment on the fight before Fury .
“Otto Wallin like it or not is going to give Fury a 12 round difficult fight . He's over 6'5 , fast ,great movement and footwork and he's not in his late 40's.
I'm making the thread to remind the forum what I've been saying over a month now and after the fight that Wallin took on a much better shape Fury then Wilder did too.
There seems to be a lot of selective memory on here always , just don't make excuses like Fury is overrated because he's in one of the best shapes he's been in his entire career .
Ortiz is not the best southpaw it's Young Otto " All In " Wallin , you'll see who's still fighting better competition then Wilder is.”
In defense of denium he did place Wallin as a possible abilities to defeat Wilder ,wheather it’s because he was fighting Fury ,IDK ? But I really did study Wallin for the limited footage available then and heard of him awhile in the up and comers .
Fury showed in that fight, how much he has regressed. He was not hard to find, where was the movement? And his defense on the inside and mid-range was below par.
Wallin is no great shakes, he is not fast and his movement is nothing special ether 'He is just another big super heavyweight, who he has grasped the basics of boxing'.
I think the power of Whyte and aggression will undo Wallin.
The only thing that concerns me about Whyte is his conditioning.
Fury made this guy a bigger name by effectively losing to him (it should’ve been stopped). We may well see whyte stop him in a way that makes fury’s fight look even worse!
for a tick over fight this ain’t a bad one given the fury wallin fight has happened in my view, Infact a clever one.
Wallin is a top level fighter, and was when Fury fought him, anyone who followed the division knew who he was. I guess all the casuals on here don't really watch enough HW boxing.
Come on man! I live next door to Otto Wallin and I didnt even know who he was!
I think me and him went fishing together once I STILL DUNNO who he was until he fought Fury
And im a certified Tyson Feary hater. the resident HATER on the forum. And I will stay hating on him until he fights Wilder again, if he wins fair and square i will give him his credit no doubt
But to answer your quesiton: Yeah Eddie "NotAttheHospitalWithBillyHoe" Hearn is a snake. Cant trust anything he says. Just take one good look at him and anyone with street smarts would figure out this guy is no good.
He was targeting the eye a bit to much ,even raked it at one point with his glove thumb . You can hear Gamache tell Wallin keep targeting the eye in the corner but they also admitted they stopped intelligently boxing once the eye opened up and stopped mixing the punches up to the level they were doing . Fury was very lucky the blood didn’t effect his vision .,I’d have to watch it again but I remember Fury being aware of head hunting ,Wallin stopped boxing a lot and trying to bust the eye open instead of set a lot up on points . Wallins at his best working those body shots ,vs Whyte it will be interesting both are great body punchers .
Wallin may have tried too hard to target the eye... I remember the "rake" fury got really pissed lol. Fury benefited because he showed he was fighting back hard... this gave the ref a reason not to stop the fight... Nobody would have protested if the ref waved it off.
So at the end of the day whether Wallin made too much of a focus on the eye, or didn't attack it the question becomes what Wallin learned from that fight.. will it up his game? His confidence?

Absolutely spot on.
Wallin has his moment. It's a winnable fight for him. If he does well, and can handle Whyte then it's George Jefferson time (moving on up).
My heart is for Wallin. If Whyte is not in great shape I think Wallin will win. If Whyte is in great shape I think he will win.

you say wallin is one to watch and you think he beats whyte so he ain’t that bad.
fury was champion in all but name due to beating wilder 9 rounds to 3 the first fight so yeah he had every right criticise fury ..,plus fury had two soft touches before.
we had no idea how good wallin was at the time and his testing fury rose his stock....you cannot go back on a tweet that was made over 2 years ago when wallin was untested what’s wrong with you lol
Not even a Hearn fan but Wallin is a bum that technically beat Fury (fight should’ve been stopped). And his stock rose with a lot of Brits due to that.
Wallin is still a bum but he’s more known now and the avg fan that saw him against the fraud, Fury, would give him a chance against Whyte, who’s not a world beater. And that makes the fight intriguing.
I won’t call it a “blockbuster” but it’d generate decent interest from British boxing fans.
I wouldn't say a bum... but I agree that Wallin managed to make a fight of it. But it's not like he capitolized... if he had been Excellent he would have targeted that eye and forced them to end the fight.
He’s a habitual liar, he just can’t help himself. :lol1:
My favourite lie, is Eddie Hills, the 4-0 iceman on the Billericay amateur scene. :lol1:
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
:lol1: :lol1:
I made a thread about that and immediately a load of Hearniacs turned up saying stuff like "hOw dO yOu kNow hE wAsnt a bOxEr??!!!!!"
He can’t help himself.
He had another corker the other week, saying that Straffon who Hughes beat was an alcoholic at the age of 8 years old. :lol1:

Lol at the Fury boot licker bricking it in case Whyte sparks out arguably Fury’s 3rd best win.
And a very contentious win at that, Fury should very plausibly have 2 losses when you think about, robbed fat boy McDermott blind and got away with a cut that would have easily seen the fight waved off if it was Wallin.
I get it, all of Fury's hardcore fans will be watching this fight closely 'And they want Wallin to win'.
But in my opinion, he is getting sparked out.
This is good match making from Eddie Hearn, he knows exactly what he is doing.
Wallin is alright, but I just don't think he has much power to deter Whyte.
didn't have much power to deter Breazelle either, but he still beat him 10-2
Whyte gasses out in the sixth against everyone he fights. He knocks out a covid patient and suddenly he's a favorite again.
Wallin proved his worth with his performances vs Fury and Breazeale. Is Hearn a shameless hypocrite? I mean even he would admit he is one, but he was far from the only one killing the Fury/Wallin fight when it got announced.
Wallin wasn’t a name then . Fury was going into the Wilder fight he had signed already in the rematch so personally I thought it was a good fight and said it would be Furys toughest fight but besides that Wallin has got names on his resume now so why wouldn’t fighting Whyte be a good fight ? When he fought Fury he definitely jumped at the opportunity but was clearly a few fights away from really being on a big stage in the pros .
I'm not having a go at Whyte, it's a decent fight.
I'm having a go at Eddie Hearn for calling Wallin a bum when Fury was fighting him, and now he's calling Otto blockbuster.
It's true that me and you said that Wallin was a good fighter.
I get it, all of Fury's hardcore fans will be watching this fight closely 'And they want Wallin to win'.

Whyte gets dropped and hurt by midgets like Rivas.
Wallin will beat him up.
Fun fact, just did a little research. Did you know Whyte has never fought a southpaw?
