Alright, let's try this again! The Pacquiao/Spence challenge did not work out too well, but hopefully the Joshua/Usyk fight ends up going through!
Talked to Eff Pandas a few months back and I wanted to get on this as well. Think it would be cool to get some board engagement!
Who Can Play?
Anyone!
The Rules:
You will need to pick a winner of the fight or a draw.
You will need to pick the method of the win, KO or decision.
If you pick a KO you will need to pick the round of the KO & the time of the stoppage.
If you pick a decision you will need to pick the type of decision (unanimous, majority or split) AND how many points either guy won the fight by.
NO EDITING! If you edit a post, you will automatically be disqualified. If you want to change your prediction, just make a new post and I'll take the latest post up until the start of the fight.
So some picks one could make could look like this:
Joshua KO8 (1:23)
Usyk UD12 (115-113 115-113 116-112)
Joshua MD12 (115-113 115-113 114-114)
Usyk SD (116-112 115-113 113-115)
Draw
If the fight is a NC or has no official result on September 25 all picks will be voided. If the fight gets canceled/postponed I'll likely just extend the contest to the date the fight happens.
A technical decision or technical draw will still be judged by the point edge you gave whichever option you took.
First come first serve with picks. If Joshua wins by KO in the 4th at 1:00 & two people picked the result exactly whoever made the pick first wins.
If no one picks the exact outcome whoever is the closest will be the winner.
If you got any questions or want clarification about anything particular feel free to ask.
What Do I Win:
Whoever picks the exact outcome or is the closest to the exact outcome wins a $100 Amazon Gift Card.
Oleksandr Usyk split decision 115-112 , 116-111 , 113-114
Congratulations sir, you were the only one to pick Usyk by decision. I'll be in contact with you soon.
My main concern is that I’m just not sure he’s big enough for HW. He looked considerably smaller than Chisora who’s not exactly a massive HW.
Well, he's supposedly adding more weight and should be coming in heavier vs Joshua.
He isn't a big HW by any means even if he adds 10 or so pounds of muscle. Joshua should be able to keep him on the outside but if Usyk can slip the jab consistently? Then this can become interesting, especially the later this fight goes.
Usyk has been hurt and inactive since the WBSS. People think he is the same fighter he was then at CW, but I'm not sure about that. He hasn't had an impressive performance in a while.

If you put a gun to my head, I’d probably pick AJ, just think I’ve got more chance of winning the comp by rolling with Usyk.
I’m not convinced by the Chisora performance either in all honesty.

How did I know you were going to go with Usyk??? Lol, really surprised at the amount of Usyk stoppage picks to be honest. He better look much better than he did vs Chisora to win this fight.

It sure looks like the rules to our Pick Em game.
Could be....Rules are almost exactly same as Panda's challenge minus a few tweaks. So maybe he got it from there when making his rules lol.

Ooops. Absolutely correct, I started off going 115 - 113 x2 and 113 - 115 then changed my mind but didn't change the decison type accordingly.
No worries! MD it is!
So that's a majority decision, not a split decision unless you mean to post the scores differently?

*****... damn. Precisely what I was gonna go for but I thought I'd better check through first. Seeing Usyk surviving and probably landing more of the clean shots in more of the rounds but likely getting wobbled at some point. Seeing some home cooking for a Joshua win in a fight that could really be scored either way leaning Usyk.
OK then..
Joshua SD 116-112, 115 -113 114-114
