I think he has enough power and, the lack of ko's has more to do with the competition, which has been better since 2016. He stops fighting in 2014, after losing two fights, then came back in 2016 against jamal and perella, obviously to be used as a stepping stone, two undefeated fighters. He did ko perrella. 2017 levan, lara(ko) and dulorme, he was put on his @$$ by thomas while putting thomas twice on his. 2018 ray robinson(ko), batista(ko), barrionuevo. He opened 2019 with porter and Figueroa. 2020 dallas(ko) and ramos. 2021 pac. If he were to be a light hitter, pac would have walked through him or shaw porter for that matter. He hurt pac to the body and buzzed him a few times. Be safe.
Yes he hurt manny to the body. Manny was wide open and took the full brunt.
same to you.
Manny's biggest attributes is how he goes in and out with his angles as he punches. He had no spring on his legs and kept on coming in the same way time after time like if something was going to change. Came to a point that Ugas was hitting him with the same two punches over and over and Pac couldn't adjust.
Ugas has 12 ko’s in 31 fights. It’s his lack of power.
Ugas, imo, used basic punch combinations since Manny showed and inability to move his head. But he stayed with it and moved effectively. Manny doesn’t like when his opponent moves a lot.
Yes, manny’s age and inactivity were the biggest factors to me.

He wasnt overmatched. It was a tough competitive fihht and i gave ugas a lot of credit.
It would be different if it was spence. I would love to see that in his final fight.
as for bud, it would be very tough for pac but i wont cant him out. Bud has never had to dig himself up to win a fight. Pac would bring him to the trenches and we would either see greatness in bud or he d be exposed.
So, what did you see in Ugas?
I think it was more about Manny’s chin than Ugas being such a light hitter. I’m not saying Ugas is a KO artist but he has enough power to keep you honest. Also, Ugas did show some dimensions to his game so it wasn’t just a matter of Manny being old, although that was certainly a factor.

I think your underestimating Spence. He showed in the Porter fight he can really box. Spence also hits harder.
This fight wasn’t about what ugas did as much as it was about what Manny could no longer do defensively.
A harder hitter may have violently hurt Manny. Manny is fortunate ugas is light hitting, low volume counter puncher.
Spence and Crawford are just as accurate and smart, but with significantly more pop.

Ugas didn’t look touched up to me after the fight.
they got really good photoshop experts in the Philippines these days.
remember, the swollen bicep photos from Ugas? You gotta really stupid to actually believe those as well..
Oh yeah buddy, Pacquaio having no legs, head movement or timing was down to him moving the wrong direction :lol1: He’s only a 20+ year pro, he just moved the wrong way
The guy’s done, you can stick a fork in him. Thurman was over 2 years ago, likely his last hurrah and the little he had left was used there. You can clutch as hard as you want, try and put it down to tactical issues, cope with it however you want.
Yes the fight didn’t happen, it now doesn’t need to happen thankfully, for Pacquaio’s health. No one of sound mind wants to see Pacquaio’s corpse in there with anyone elite much less someone like Spence who will seriously hurt him at this point.
I could explain it to you, but you don’t want to hear it. We’ll leave it at that.
Pacquiao did not look bad physically, trigger and counter speed was fine. Ugas was easily able to get his head to Pacquiao’s chest when he ducked because Pacquiao consistently moved to Ugas’ left, reason Pacquiao fell over in rd1, it also helped Ugas mitigate/avoid most of Pacquiao’s combo by getting inside them, and it lined up his jab for him.
People don’t do breakdowns anymore here do they. Just casual talk “he’ll crush him like a bug” “splattered in brutal fashion”. Those are good for youtube thumbnails.
Most of those issues you just mentioned was due to moving in the wrong direction. He was circling inside just in his last fight vs Thurman. It makes little sense to circle outside against a longer fighter unless you’re looking for his ribs. Physically Pacquiao still looked good if not a little heavy of foot. Regarding Spence vs Pacquiao, you need to stop projecting your opinion like it’s fact or reality. The fight didn’t happen and Ugas and Spence fight nothing alike. But you can opine on why you think Pacquiao was moving to Ugas’ left.

You’re completely wrong. Like I said going into this fight, Pacquiao was fuked because he spent 2 years out with no fighting, no sparring, he saw no orthodox man accross him for 2 years, spent 3 months of dreaming, pissing and ****ting drill movements for a southpaw and 10 days to change the mannerisms and habits back to an orthodox. Pacquiao wasn’t too old to beat Ugas, his style was completely botched and confused, just look at the fight, he was moving to Ugas’ left (Pacquiao’s right) all night long, when has Pacquiao ever moved to an orthodox fighter’s left? He like most people that know how to fight the opposite stance circle inside, otherwise he’s competing with Ugas’ length.
Who does Pacquiao move to his right against? Southpaws, always southpaws, never been orthodox, until this fight, where he just put himself in the awkward position of having to go straight through Ugas’ jab.
Pacquiao’s style vs orthodox has always been to circle inside of them to mix up a step outside of the right hand and counter or shoot a shot inside the right hand. You’re not in a good position for either if you’re circling to the outside. That’s how Rigondeaux fights, that’s how Mayweather eventually started to fight southpaws, that’s how Lomachenko fights, that’s how you fight the opposite stance.
Sad to see pac was in a lost of words trying to explain this after the fight.
Because it’s irrelevant. You’re delving into stylistic reasons as to why Pacquaio lost when the reality is he lost because he’s done.
A fighter of Ugas’ calibur has no business winning rounds off Pacquaio let alone winning fights. He can’t move his feet, he can barely move his head, his timing is totally gone, his punches don’t have pop on them, it’s all the tell tale signs of a fighter who is finished. There’s no explanation needed for why he looked like he did.
Ugas is tailor made for Pacquaio.
You’re defensively trying to act as if this version of Pacquaio stands a chance against Spence when the reality is he gets splattered in brutal fashion.

Pacquaio was fuked because he’s done. He’s finished.
You can overrate Ugas who is a dead average fighter all you want it it makes you feel better.
Any elite WW such as Spence steps on Pacquaio like a bug at this point.

Because Ugas is average at best.
The only reason Ugas had any chance at all was if a Pacquaio was totally finished which now evidently after last night is the case. Without that fact, Ugas has no chance against Pacquaio.
If Spence was in there against that version of Pacquaio with no movement, no timing, and barely any snap on his punches he’d have been killed.
Clear as day.

...and Spence mightve been TKOd in round 1 and gone blind in his R eye.
Ya damn dildo
No he wouldn’t have. Please stop quoting me. You’re a simple minded imbecile with no boxing knowledge.
Nah. This is for thosr who think Spence would do better than Ugas. It's not that simple.
Spence fighting style suits Manny better. He might win against Manny but it's not a given and if he fought toe to toe with Pac with that damaged eye, it would have ended badly
It is that simple Spence will beat the sht out of Ugas, when you stop pumping up everything around Manny things fall into place, go watch Horn fight that's what Manny was last night, all the BS about beating a broken Thurman blew it all out of proportion, Ugas just brought it back to reality.
i agree. Unfortunately for Spence, i dont think he will recover from detached retina.
He may beat lesser fighters but if ever he fights Pac, it will be over for him. Pac's punches are like knives. they will cut you.
Hell the top of the division period. Any elite boxer gonna target that eye.
