Very elaborate plan. Haymon knew Pacquiao or any big name wouldnt fight a high risk/low reward Ugas willingly. So they set up Pacquiao to fight Spence, Spence fakes the injury and Pacquiao doesnt give it much thought to fight Ugas thinking it was a replacement fighter yet Ugas was probably training fully for Pacquiao. Now they built another PBC name sacrificing the old legend which they never really liked from the beggining.
Pacquiao got used, PBC are thugs and need to be investigated.
I think you may be spot on. But I don't feel especially sorry for Manny Pacquiao. He made millions, is way past his sell-by-date, and you feel bad for him because the stand-in opponent wasn't a gimme, guaranteed victory? It is moments like this that make you realize all isn't lost in Boxing. The Pacquiao we saw last night would have been stopped by an on-form Errol Spence Jr. The fact that Spence seems too risk-averse to be Great is just sad.
Idk about being stitched up, but i think Ugas would’ve been told that if something happened to Spence then he’d be tapped up to take his place. So I imagine he would’ve been training for Pac just in case.
Better scratch porters name off spences record as anything worth noting since he got a gift against ugas
Pac is done. Surprised it was Ugas who showed him the door.
If you watched Ugas fight Abel Ramos & watch him here, you would know that he was 100% prepared for this fight. Manny's just too naïve at the end of the day.
even if true....wouldnt be the first person to use manny and take advantage of naive manny....koncz and arum werent much different....granted arum made pac more money than pac ever imagined having....but they still used him and took advantage of him.....i hope manny has enough money to live a luxurious life for the rest of his time....he needs to take care of self now...the time to give is over hes done enough of that......ive been critical of manny in the past.....im more of a floyd guy...but ive seen pac fight live several times and it was awesome...he was great
An injury saved Pac's life. Pac couldn't dominate a guy with 12 KO's, Spence would have caught a body.

Well 11 days. Is that equivalent 2-3 months to you? Pac is not young anymore and needs a perfect plan for this kind of fight. You just a moron if you think this just an excuse.
Pac was ready to fight a superior fighter, yet, he couldn;t figure out a guy with 12 KO's ???
Pac is done !!!!!
How is that karma? It's not like Pac was wrong for accepting and beating Ledbawa on short notice and should feel bad for it. Are you gonna say karma if Ugas loses his next fight? It's a coincidence, but not karma, wtf
I wasn’t in any way criticizing that.
Maybe I should say ironic then. I just find it interesting that how his ascent to stardom and maybe the end of his career have the same context- short notice replacement upsets the heavy favorite.
It's just that, at one point, an old engine - even if perfectly functional until that moment - starts chugging, and one day it stops.
That is what happened, for example, to Hopkins when he was soundly outboxed by Kovalev.
The rare "ageless champions" make us believe they're eternal. But they aren't.
T, I believe that you summarized it perfectly my brother

Manny’s rise to greatness started as a replacement fighter against Ledbawa. Ledbawa was a heavy favorite. Manny won that fight with Ledbawa only having 2 weeks notice.
Now it appears Manny’s last fight will be a loss in a title fight where he was the heavy favorite yet had to fight someone on 11 days notice.
Karma is a funny thing.

Preparing for a southpaw for months and then an orthodox fighter a couple of weeks out is definitely going to throw off your game big time. No doubt about it. But Ugas was prepared fully by the fact he was supposed to be on the undercard. He didn't just jump into camp 2-3 weeks ago. So there goes that conspiracy for that angle.

Rooting for Pac to win, he mentioned he didn't adjust to ugas style. yeah 11 days not enough. It seemed like he over trained too. He knows why he lost. Thurman threw that nail thou and said those were the t-rex arms I was talking about. Had to laugh.
I swear on my life it's impossible for Pacquiao to lose without some weirdo coming up with some bizarre conspiracy theory as an excuse for it
