I think you may be spot on. But I don't feel especially sorry for Manny Pacquiao. He made millions, is way past his sell-by-date, and you feel bad for him because the stand-in opponent wasn't a gimme, guaranteed victory? It is moments like this that make you realize all isn't lost in Boxing. The Pacquiao we saw last night would have been stopped by an on-form Errol Spence Jr. The fact that Spence seems too risk-averse to be Great is just sad.

Idk about being stitched up, but i think Ugas would’ve been told that if something happened to Spence then he’d be tapped up to take his place. So I imagine he would’ve been training for Pac just in case.

If you watched Ugas fight Abel Ramos & watch him here, you would know that he was 100% prepared for this fight. Manny's just too naïve at the end of the day. even if true....wouldnt be the first person to use manny and take advantage of naive manny....koncz and arum werent much different....granted arum made pac more money than pac ever imagined having....but they still used him and took advantage of him.....i hope manny has enough money to live a luxurious life for the rest of his time....he needs to take care of self now...the time to give is over hes done enough of that......ive been critical of manny in the past.....im more of a floyd guy...but ive seen pac fight live several times and it was awesome...he was great

Preparing for a southpaw for months and then an orthodox fighter a couple of weeks out is definitely going to throw off your game big time. No doubt about it. But Ugas was prepared fully by the fact he was supposed to be on the undercard. He didn't just jump into camp 2-3 weeks ago. So there goes that conspiracy for that angle.

Honestly if Ugas was too much for him, regardless of the last minute switch, then he never had any business fighting Spence anyway
