Errol Spence Suffered a Retinal Detachment/Break Per Bob Bennett

My question is when did this happen? How? They seem pretty tight-lipped about that. We still don’t even know what he’s got. Is it a tear, or a detachment? The information is all over the place. Bennet basically just said “he’s got a detachment, or a break/tear, or somesht, I wasn’t paying attention”. I think it’s a little late for the surgeon’s words. Now we just wait for when Spence is expecting to come back. The wbc let him keep his belt, so I’d imagine not long.

NSAC is trash overall no doubt, but they probably just saved this man from going blind from one eye. He's obviously depressed right now losing out on a dream match up, but it could have ended ugly for him. Heck, even in sparring he could have been badly damaged in the eye. What I'm curious about is if this happened post Danny Garcia fight or before it? if before it, and presumably from the crash, how TF did the Texas commission clear him? Unfortunately some fighters are born dumb......he started hanging about at post fight parties and acting up with other haymon goons then it progressed ....got behind the wheel more than drunk and was lucky he never killed somebody or lost his life and got away from prison time......this is all on spence and him wasting such a promising career and now his career is pretty much over. all the other haymonites are loose cannons , broner , tank ,yayo twins charlo etc.....none have discipline to be a great

That's the thing.. I don't know who's at fault in Spence team for neglecting checking his eye sight. I just know when you get in a car crash like that. That's like being beaten down 100x in one night.. Something has got to give.. And some assume one of those is the detached retina.. The weird thing about it. .Why didn't the ophthalmologist of spence notice it before? I have a friend who is an ophthalmologist. She said, a person should notice it that his eyes have flashes of light or something wrong with it.. That only means Spence hid it.. He didn't care, he wants to fight.. Brave of him yes, but dumb of him not to realize he can get blinded by that dumb action.. Good thing it was spotted.. But the damage has been done.. In the first place, he shouldn't even have signed a fight with Pacquiao. He just gave the boxing world a false hype.. Not cool at all.. And if the doctor did see Spence's eye is damaged after the Danny fight? Then he would have been suspended by the commission for a certain amount of time. So to play devil's advocate, if he passed the exam before and after the Danny fight, wouldn't that mean he didn't suffer an injury during the accident? Since the accident took place before the Danny fight? But why would he need to have an exam before the fight? Again, fighters only get exams done a week or two prior to the fight. Other fighters have had the same injury as Spence and they got it without being in an accident. This is boxing, when you get hit in the head, face etc, you can suffer injuries. We just don't know, that's all. spence fought danny end of 2020.. he didnt get the pac fight until mid 2021... so from dec 2020 until aug 2021, he didnt bother to get a check up even after a car crash like that... so he signs to fight the biggest fight in his career at this moment and never bother to get a pre exam done to see if he's healthy since this is the biggest fight of his career.... then 11 days out and he decided that he needs one now?
