Theres no rematch clause now that its going to purse bid. And if Bud loses where does he go from here? Pbc would have all the belts,& might not even want to sign him without a belt? Bob doesn't seem interested either especially without a belt? Will Bud retire if he loses decisively?
Or will Spence fight always be there?(look at how quickly Lomas fans jumped off the bandwagon,& how hes been forced to fight Teos leftovers after a single loss.
It’s hilarious that you don’t see PBC beginning the process to duck this fight.
I absolutely could see PBC paying Porter to take a different fight. Saying Porter would duck Crawford though (as you did in a different thread), I'm not seeing that. I don't see Porter ducking anyone.
Well, I just want to know how he is losing money off Crawford's fights and not on any other fighters fights. Why did he single out Crawford...his biggest draw?
I mean if he can build a house in Beverley Hills in his last three fights as Arum mentioned, it is certainly more than a couple hundred thousand per event lol.
But whatever, looks like the partnership between the two parties will end soon enough.
I would suspect that is just Arum exaggerating and talking smack.
I dont know what you mean by "losing so much money"? How much is "so much"? Could he be losing a couple hundred grand per event? Sure, thats possible. Could he be losing $1million + per event? I cant see that happening. He would have offered him a release if it were that much money going down the drain.......
But he is probably using Crawfords fights as a loss-leader. Sure, he loses a little overall, but he stacks those shows with his other fighters, gets a few of those guys on ESPN or ESPN plus, and hopes one of them develop into something.....

Forget making money, I just want to know how Arum is losing so much money on his biggest drawing gate fighter and wants to put him on blast yet has not said anything of this sort for his other fighters....Who do not draw as well as Bud? And how much of his own money is he putting into Crawford fight outside of the budget he gets from ESPN? The guy he is losing the most money unquestionably is Fury, who has a guarantee FAR bigger than Crawford's and is someone who doesn't hit the million mark on any non-Wilder fights.

I dont think he loses a ton, but I could see how he might not be making money on Buds fights. Probably running close to break even. Believe it or not, it is VERY difficult to make money on a fighter. As a promoter, if ONE out of 20 guys is netting a plus, then you are lucky. I guarantee you that even after blowing a half-billion dollars, PBC isnt making money. I doubt Hearn is either. And I know damn well that after losing Canelo, Golden Boy is DEFINITELY losing money. All these companies are taking the TV money and trying to outlast each other. A race to the bottom............

How does Arum supposedly lose so much money on Crawford yet makes money on Lomachenko, who does a lesser gate and also gets paid 3M+ a fight? Is it because Lomachenko's opponents cost less? What is Arum going off of? I mean ESPN is supposedly giving him 90M a year, so how exactly is he losing so much money on Crawford's fights?

unless he was willing to take a SIZABLE pay cut, why would Arum re-sign him? If Bob cant make money with him undefeated, he certainly cant make money with him after a loss to Porter........

Which of the current welters do you pick over Crawford? Let's hear it, bro.
Pick over Crawford? I don't know who I would pick over Crawford but I wouldn't feel comfortable picking him over Spence or Ennis either.
I like Tank as well, but stop playing please. Crawford isn't coming down to 140, he is more likely to fight at 154 in the next year than coming down to 140.

Only guy that can compete with Bud from MW down is Tank!!!!!!!
Let's go champ!!!

I know you are joking but that's one fight I've actually always wanted. They exchanged some words too. If it can happen at 140 now, great. If not, maybe down the line at welter.
None of the current welter competition would come close to beating Bud, not even pre-accident Spence. Bud is too good for these guys. Hopefully he finds an exciting fight.
If he loses, I don't think any promoter would touch him. Retirement time.

If he loses badly, which I don't expect, Bud would probably start looking at retiring. He turns 34 next month and should have millions in the bank by now. Maybe one more cash out fight and then start training guys.
He wouldn't be forced anywhere. It is up to him to sign a contract or not.
But i wouldn't put it past Bud to re-sign with Arum because it is what he knows. He'd be royally screwed to do it though, an even bigger cut going to Bob to do it.
Also, the Spence fight won't always be there. It's rapidly fleeting actually.
If Porter beat Bud decisively, he's automatically off Spence's radar.
Spence only cares about unifying the division. If Bud doesn't have the WBO, he's not in the picture. So, that's gone for him.
However, Bud could fall back on Taylor. Move back to 140 and wipe him out. Or rematch Porter and reclaim the WBO in this scenario.
