I can only assume he won't fight anyone noteworthy the rest of the year. But will he be able to avoid Teo, Loma, Haney, Garcia for the entire of 2022 too?
And why won't Tank even CALL OUT one of these fighters?
I personally think that Loma-Davis is the best fight at 135 IF (and it's a big if) Loma is able to dominate Teo in the rematch. The fact that both guys have relatively short reaches make for a potentially action filled fight. Tank is so fast and explosive (more so than Teo) that I don't see Loma (as good as he is) being able to dance in it out and around Tank all night without tasting his power at some point. And when tank gets the taste of blood he goes right for the kill which I like. Loma when he's on point is a solid finisher as well. I also feel that this would be the best selling PPV as well.
But you with Floyd at the helm you know this fight (if it ever does get made) is like THREE years at least down the road lol
Ok but Tank is a SFW, not a full LW yet. He’s taken a few fights above 130, same as many guys have taken fights above their actual weight class.
It seems only with Tank do posters ask about him fighting guys above his weight.
seems like something else TBH.
As far as I am concerned I want the young guys to fight each other period.

he hasnt fought a ranked opponent at 130 for 4 and a half years so why are you pretending like hes in the mix there?
Because all these guys who are young at a lightweight... Lopez, Garcia, Tank, Haney... will grow. They have not even gained their man strength yet in many cases.

Answer this question from the beginning of my previous post: Why aren't those guys doing what you are asking of Davis and his promoters? Where are the offers Gervonta rejected? People should stop crying about this guy.
Where's the other champions rejected offers from davis?
Call them out 24/7! Send legit contract offers! Don't say only in house fights! Put the heat on them! Force the boxing media and fans to question them ducking, if that's the case! And fight quality opponents, even if the top guys promoter swerved you!
Better yet: Fighters get together, don't use promoters who always are an expense and have their own interests...Take a page from two guys who probably have a low IQ, are not particularly attractive BUT know how to use social media... and have made a fortune, one of them not even fighting boxers and claiming to be a boxer... PROMOTE YOUR OWN FIGHTS! Tell Floyd, Arum, Hearn, and all of them to fck off.
He had no problem making it the last time. The bottom line is Tank is ranked top 1 or 2 at 130 by multiple media outlets yet posters ask about 135 and 140 and never 130. Why?
Because all these guys who are young at a lightweight... Lopez, Garcia, Tank, Haney... will grow. They have not even gained their man strength yet in many cases.
Forever... because Floyd is selfish and has said the risk of someone else becoming succesful as a promoter because of a co-promotion is not something he is willing to take. The squirt needs to be #1 and Tank is simply a means to an end... Floyd is more or less, becoming what he ran from with Arum.
Why do people even talk crap like the OP?
At least give it some time, damn.
All of the fighters at 135 had a fight either scheduled or just finished a fight.
1. Teofimo-Kambosos
2. Haney-Linares
3. Linares-Haney
4. Loma-Nakatani (on the same day as Tank)
5. Ryan taking a break from boxing.
Fans are weirdos. I take that back. Haters are the ultimate weirdos. Because you don't even logically look at the landscape. Guys either already fought a month before or already scheduled fights out.
Other than Ryan Garcia, everyone else already had things in motion. Even then, Ryan dodged a Tank fight to have an exhibition match, then quit an exhibition match and received a Fortuna mandatory, then dodged his mandatory for mental health anxiety reasons.
Sheesh.
You're defending him not fighting anybody of note and sticking your tongue out for him fighting someone nobodies ever heard off as long as he has a padded record
Listen davis has stepped up and fought for a vacant belt so he is now world champion...people expect him to be pushing for unification fights and just going out looking for all the so called best and shutting their mouths
Look at what Mike tyson did to unify all the belts ,fighters today are far too protected and especially by fans like you
If he thinks hes the best he should go and take out the other so called champions not cherry picking vacant belt holders when there's another guy in the division whom has already unified the belts the old fashioned way
Josh taylors doing it the right way he's ducked nobody but then again he really wanted the fights and to prove he's the best, tank and Co want to fight no hopes then party for a few months then fight another no hoper then grow that beer gut again for a few months
The rest are a bunch of cowards

Why aren't those guys doing what you are asking of Davis and his promoters? Why put the blame on only one party? Your reason is Gervonta is the one who is ducking these guys. That's not true.
You know why people (fans and haters) are impatient and pissed off with him? The answer is he's in the driver's seat to all from 130-140. He's not gonna chase or name any of these guys. Those guys need to convince their promoters to get the shot at him. Belts also mean nothing. That's true.
In the meantime, he should fight whomever is put in front of him: Colbert, Cruz Gonzalez, Garry Russell, Mikey, Prograis, whomever. I'm even OK with someone we never heard of (someone good).

I've heard as a matter of fact as we speak; That Mayweather Promotions are keen on trying to make the Ryan Garcia fight happen next for Davis. That would be a very huge, exciting and entertaining fight. However, I put my money on tank at some point stopping him by way of TKO in the fight.

Tank is the A-side fighter and has all the leverage and power to make any fight he wants but he is choosing the opponents with the least risk.
In fairness, he made 130 last time.
I don’t know who he faces next- maybe Russell. My point is why don’t people ask about him fighting at the weight he is at the top at instead of weights where he isn’t in the top 10?
Posters write they want the best fighting the best. So why not ask about the best 130lbers fighting?
Because this is a boxing website and the general consensus is that tank has grown out of 130 regardless if he made weight the last time he fought there

it doesnt/wont work and it doesn/wont matter though.....and you know this......you could send a better than good deal and if arum doesnt want it hell just say "i never received anything like that...its a ruse"
you guys have to stop living in this world where what you want and when you want it matters...it doesnt....you can desperately want boxing to run a certain way and get everything you want as a "fan" but its a pipe dream....i wish some of you could learn to accept that...instead most of you come here spouting the same lines over and over about how you dont care about money/business or any of that and just want the best fights.....trust me id love that too...i want that....but im a realist...
Valdez is the top 130lber. Tank isn't the top guy at any weight class. His opposition has been trash. Pedraza was his only decent win against a ranked opponent that had a legit title. Floyd said only in house fights too, which is pathetic. If Tank was so good why not put him against the best, like Floyd did himself at a young age? Floyd pisses me off with his promoting. Floyd became who he was by whooping all the top guys. Tank looks like a good fighter too that I would give a very good chance to beat everyone at 130lbs. I would favor him or be 50/50 against the top 135lbers too. Us fans just get f**ked out of the best fights all the time. It's sad that PBC is Top Rank 2.0.
Please check multiple media rankings to determine where Tank is at 130. Valdez beat Berchelt and had 1 other win I believe at 130. How is that better than Pedraza ( at the time), Leo, and undefeated Walsh at 130 plus other people wins?
I believe Floyd said he isnt going to help another company be great and succeed as the reason he is going to do in house fights.
credit to you for pointing out TR is doing same. The only difference is Floyd actually was honest with us fans by telling us he’s only doing in house with Tank, as opposed to Bob who does it but lies and says he will work with others.
I just need an answer why do posters only talk about Tank at 135 and 140 but not 130 where he is one of, if not the top, guy?

Spot on about Mayweather himself, he fought everyone when he was coming up. He did it the hard way. And he is making himself look bad with the way he is promoting Tank, because people are saying we were right all along about Floyd, which isn’t true. TBE actually fought good opponents.
