If these guys fight later in the year as they were at one point supposed to fight in the first half of this year, who do you guys have winning? Of course, the fight would take place at 135. Davis just fought a taller fighter but one that does not have the hand speed and power of Garcia. We know you can win rounds off of Davis as he isn't the most active of fighters, but can he eventually get to Garcia as he did against Barrios? Can Garcia hurt Davis unlike Barrios? I see this fight happening within the next 10 or so months and possibly as early as the end of this year.
So who ya got?
Tank KOs Garcia. The first solid straight left will start the beginning of the end for Garcia. Tank is far more skilled than Garcia also so I don't see Garcia being smart enough to squeeze out a UD either.
Davis won't be fighting Garcia, Lopez, or Loma (until, maybe, he's 40 years old), so this is a moot point.
again....i beg the question....what makes you think that the men who handle garcia, lopez and loma are in any hurry to match them up with tank?
do you think that arum might be more interested in making teo/loma 2? or maybe teo vs taylor down the line?
do you think that oscar is any hurry to possibly have tank hang an L on garcia when the future of his company basically hinges on garcia and vergil ortiz because he botched canelo and lost the biggest asset in boxing?
some of you are just so friggin dumb and desperate to paint any pbc guy as some ducker or fight avoider.....you cant step back and take a look at how things operate and how promoters operate......its immediately the fault of tank davis and his people
yet you can clearly see arum might have other plans for his guys...and oscar might not want to take that big of a risk with garcia at the moment......did u not see how bob played the whole floyd/pac thing out for years...or how al haymon is doing the same exact thing to bud via the pbc 147 class? arum would be quick to play the game right back at haymon and freeze tank out of any meaningful fight he could....and you know this....yet its tanks fault lol.....
what you think happens to golden boy promotions if ryan garcia gets handled or blasted out by tank in the next 6 months? let me tell you...its not good for them
It ends in a ko which is all I care about. Either guy could win but I’d favor Tank. I think it’s a GREAT style match up and is a can’t miss when it happens. Ryan can get caught but he can also crack.
It's a fantastic showdown most definitely. Garcia landed some nice body shots vs Campbell and that would be the key vs Tank. If he can hurt Tank or zap some of his stamina with those body shots? He has a solid shot at winning this. But obviously his chin will have to hold up as Tank will touch it at some point.
80/20 in favor of Tank. Ryan is just a level or two below tank. He's developing well under reynoso but he still has huge holes in his defense. It's really weird considering what experienced amateur he was.
I think Ryan could only win if he caught Tank early but I think Tank's defense is pretty good and that probably wouldn't happen. Garcia also showed he's not good under pressure before and while that was before he joined the canelo camp, I think its still a problem for him and he will crumble when Tank starts pressuring him.

Yeah Haney doesn’t have the power to keep him off, I think Tank destroys him as well tbh.
Teofimo vs Tank would be an unbelievable fight man, would love to see that one, I’d lean towards Lopez but 50/50 fight IMO.
I’ve always felt Loma beats him, because he has great footwork and work-rate. It’s a very tough stylistic matchup for Tank that fight IMO. Unless he catches Loma and takes him out, I think he loses widely on points.
Regardless of who we think wins or loses though, we need to see these top guys at 135 fight one another. Far too much talking and not enough fighting in that division.
Oh, I already gave up on that. Mayweather already said they're not fighting anyone outside of the Mayweather promotions umbrella because they not trying to make other promotion companies rich lol.
I think Haney could win if he fought the perfect fight but seeing how Linares buzzed him badly late in their fight, not sure he has that in him along with the chin sturdy enough to slip and and still win.
Teo is a big boy and skilled but has enough defensive deficiencies to make all his fights interesting.
I think they will build up a fight between Tank and Colbert.
55/45 in favor of Tank at the moment but Garcia seems to be improving at a faster pace. Davis is a good fighter with special attributes but the more he steps up (even the small step up he has taken so far), the bigger the flaws become. Asked me this question 1 year ago and I would easily say Tank but the gap is closing.
If Davis is going to fight Garcia, now will be the best time.
I think Loma will be far more aggressive and will try to force the pace early on, but as we seen in round 12, he could walk on to something fighting that way. I think it’ll be very different to the first fight, far more exciting, far more exchanges. I’m very 50/50 on who I think takes it as well. Really excited for the rematch.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the rematch as well. The first fight wasn't all that great but had some nice moments late in the fight. Lomachenko did get caught with some big shots in the 12th round of the first fight. So how much more aggressive will he really be? He's definitely going to need to throw more than 10-15 punches a round like he did for half the fight the last time around.
He's had shoulder injuries so that could be the reason for this new style or he is just adjusting to his age as others like Floyd eventually did.
If Lomachenko is just throwing 30 punches a round? Then that gives Gervonta a chance to edge some rounds by landing the bigger shots and he won't ever tire late in the fight with that slow pace.
So even though Lomachenko looked awesome stopping Nakatani, I don't see anything different happening in the rematch with Lopez.

You’re possibly right, it’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts if him and Teofimo rematch later this year. He clearly needs up his work rate and be far more active early on, I personally think he can be but at 33 years old maybe he can’t.
