Ortiz's best opponent to date is 140 pounder Mo Hooker. And he tagged Vergel plenty. You can't let Tank hit you like that an expect to come out the victor.
Ortiz simply isnt ready. Tank gets him out of there in 6.
And who was Mario's best opponent to date? Mo outgrew 140 man, he'd been struggling to make the cut for a coupla years, that's why he moved up... besides Mo's a great deal more proven than Barrios was.
Look, I ain't gonna waste my time trying to convince you, if you think Tank can just wipe out a big 147 blue chip on the back of stopping a tough but limited 140lb prospect I can't ultimately prove any different, I'm just gonna respectfully disagree.
And get him out of there in 6? I mean. Sure. It took him 11 to get Barrios out of there but he's gonna stop a bigger, more proven dude who's more skilled in every department in 6? Not quite sure I'm following your logic, I'm afraid.
Ortiz is a BIG Welterweight, he beats Tank especially at 147 where I don't think Tank should ever fight at. Maybe catchweight with a guy from 147 to 144 like Mikey Garcia if he doesn't want to come down to 140
Vergil is big at 147, and he's a young man, younger than Tank. He's gonna be at 154 in a coupla years and might max at 160 by the time he hits 30 or so. And personally I don't think Tank should be aiming past 140. He's already small at JWW but was able to get away with it because Barrios is pretty limited. I've got a very high regard for Tank's talents but he ain't off the charts good.

victor ortiz will murder tank for sure and he might get badly hurt for good.
Virgil Ortiz. De La Hoyas new hope.
See that's what I'm talking. Ortiz is just a prospect right now that a lot of people dont know outside of the hardcore fans.
Tanks overall superior skills alone would give him fits.
barrios ate a lot of Tanks shots. Tank still had his power but he had to really break him down and even when wobbled and hurt, barrios was still able to eat flush shots from tank.
his power at welter would be even less
Obviously not that high of a climb but 147 is not out of the question. Believe me he'll be fighting up there regularly in a couple years.

Lol come on now....Tank loses to Loma,Teo,Haney and Garcia at 135...loses to Taylor,Ramirez,Regis,Mikey and probably Zepeda at 140...but you think can can beat an extremely skilled/powerful big ass full-blown welterweight like Ortiz?? Lay off the crack son...
Do you guys understand we have a thing called "weight classes"? Is someone gonna make a Tank vs Jermell Charlo thread next?
Again, Ortiz has only one style. That style is not beating Tank anytime soon. Its gonna take someone with an iron jaw and a lot of skill to compete Tank. That goes for everyone at 135-147.
Man, are you serious? You know we have weight classes for reason?
Tanks weight classes will be 135-147 from here on out. Him Vs a prospect like Ortiz is a great fight at 147. I guarantee you people will say Tank is cherry picking if it happens lol.
Tank in 6.
Azteca caught him with a clean left hook that shook Tank down to his toes. That's Vergil's best punch.
Ortiz by KO. Probably late.
Tank was playing possum. Besides, Barrios didn't even Take the bait cuz he knew Tank was still crackin.
:lol1: Damn. It was a good finish by Tank but someone's got a little carried away.
We gonna have a thread for Tank vs Canelo too?

Tank is too small to beat Vergil. Huge props if he would though
Vergil has one style. Any top boxer with a good chin and a little skill has a good chance of beating him.
