Resume-wise: Spence
Skill-wise: Crawford
Best Prospect(s): Jarron & Vergil
Better than you think: Porter
Dark Horse: Rashidi Ellis
Washed: Thurman & Danny
I think it’s important to recognize that “resume” largely depends on three factors:
1. Are you a draw/cash cow?
2. Are you seen as vulnerable?
3. Do you have opponents on “your side of the street”?
Errol Spence Jr. was in the same boat as Bud Crawford back in 2017. He wasn’t a draw and he wasn’t seen as vulnerable, therefore guys like Keith Thurman didn’t see a need to face him. Then he beat Kell Brook on the road and his belt helped make him more of a draw. PBC has virtually all of the top guys at 147 besides Crawford so you can see why Spence can easily add to his resume.
Meanwhile, Bud draws well in his hometown but he’s not seen as vulnerable. To compare, Paulie Malignaggi had no problem adding Adrien Broner to his “resume” after he won a belt because Paulie was seen as someone Broner could beat. Last but not least, Crawford’s best option right now (at Top Rank) is Josh Taylor if he moves up. Unless Teofimo decides to jump two divisions.
Other than that, he might wanna consider taking less money just to get an elite opponent.
Yeah Porter is tough. No shame in losing to prime versions of Brook and Thurman. Both excellent fighters in their short lived prime that was ended early by poor matchmaking for Brook, to go up to MW to fight GGG. And injuries in the case of Thurman. I still maintain pre-GGG Kell Brook v Spence would’ve looked like a very different fight.
Yep Brook was a beast in his prime too
I also think Spence is the best welter. For the future, Ennis looks good but I really like the power of Ortiz.
On a different note, how about some recognition for Shawn Porter. That one tough mfer and even in his three losses, no one has outclassed him. A tough out for any welter.
Ye no cap he just comes forward in his fights and never backs down from a challenge

Shawn porter is one of my favorite fighters. He’s an absolute dog and has fought everyone. Hasn’t ducked a soul.
Spence! More credit go to his team, for a guy who really doesn't speak much and doesn't have a big personality, they've done a PHENOMINAL JOB of building him up and the Back of FOX is huge especially the way they promote him during the NFL Season
Crawford follows shortly after that! Talent Wise, in that Ring is no Question one of the best P4P FIGHTERS in this sport today. Resume is the ONLY reason why I wouldn't have him #1 if I have a P4P List but Pure Skill Wise it is ZERO Questions that he is one of the best P4P today
then after those two: Thurman, Porter, Garcia, Ugas...
No Need to mention Pacman, he is already at a ICONIC Level to the point in which people don't need to be reminded of that so he don't need to be including in P4P Rankings and all that stuff anymore
I wasn't overly impressed with Ortiz in his outing against Hooker. Hooker took himself out with some weird punch that messed up his arm.
Porter is just ok, very tough yes. I think he has achieved way more than his talent would suggest.
IMO Spence is the best there is right now, but Ennis is two fights, against quality opposition, away from giving Spence a run for his money>

Right now, Spence. Although Manny probably better prime for prime, worth a mention because he’s still active.
Crawfords resume at WW is too weak to be able to really say he’s the best.

I’d root for vergil over Boots. But boots impressed me in his lipinets win. He looked like the total package. I’d give best prospect to him.
Ye ortiz also did good against hooker I think those two should face off soon so they get more spotlight
Thats my opinion too how about the best prospect

I think Boots Ennis is on the cusp of greatness.
I want to see a bit more of him because he is looking very promisng. He has good punch power and can switch stances very good boxer.
