And tell me Joshua doesn't have a difficult fight on his hands.
Usyk knows Joshua can be hurt. Klit Ruiz, Whyte they all hurt him at least once, and Usyk has more precision than all of them.
Also Usyk has the superior boxing skills and has been shown to take a shot like a champ. Gassiev landed clean on his jaw and he took it well and held on til his head cleared.
Power: AJ
Chin: Usyk
Recovery: Usyk
Speed: Usyk
Boxing skills: Usyk
Size: AJ
Footwork: Usyk
Ref/Judges favouritism: AJ
The more I think about it the more it appears to be a massive banana skin for AJ. Usyk needs a KO to win pretty much, or else a 9-3 clear decision, but he's capable of getting it.
50/50 fight right here. Will be an amazing win for both fighters if they get it.
Joshua isn’t Fury so cannot do that, whilst Wilder doesn’t know how to fight on the back foot. If you watch Usyk from his amateur days, the WBSS against Joyce and his fight in Latvia v Bre… He can fight on the back foot comfortably. So even if AJ goes “Fury” then Usyk would handle it a lot easier than Wilder who has never fought on the back foot before.
yeah true, but that was only a 5 round fight. The dynamics of a smaller fighter who can move a lot vs an aggressive, but slower big guy (Joyce) is most of the time that he smaller quicker guy wins the early rounds and then has to make sure that the tipping point (slowing feet, size factor starts to become a factor) doesnt occur before the midway point of the fight. So it might have played out differently in a 12-round fight.
Chisoras frontfoot approach is a lot more aggressive than what Joshua probably could do, but while Chisora still had his gas tank, he made it uncomfortable for Usyk in the first 4 rounds. Unfortunately, he gasses way too quickly (partly because he always starts super aggressive).
Just wondering, if Joshua can switch it up, because it might not be the smartest decision to box midrange with Usyk.
Hopefully this gets announced soon. It's a big fight and I reckon will be pretty intriguing.
We would have to see more of the 'old' Joshua. You don't go in with the physical advantages he has and try to outbox Usyk.
In my view, we're starting to see a smarter Joshua. One who can adapt as opposed to just going in big and blowing people away. But this fight will test that theory... is he a bit gun shy since Ruiz or is he just adapting his style for his opponent?
I wonder if joshua can successfully transition to a frontfoot stalker against usyk like fury did vs wilder. But he fights very hesitant lately, so it's probably not possible with that mindset.

Wish people wouldn’t do this, we all know Usyk will instantly transform into a can if AJ wins.
Impossible. He's undisputed cruiser champ. Won his undisputed status the hard way too. Went through Hunter Huck Breidis and Gassiev to gain all 4 belts at cruiser. A few of the guys mentioned would be heavyweight contenders.
If I see any bums ot dossers giving Usyk slander on this board if Joshua wins they're gettin it. Great win for both men.
When has Joshua ever faced a boxer like Usyk? A high activity crafty fighter with precision and very good movement. When has any heavyweight?
Similarly when has Usyk faced anyone with the attributes of Joshua? Gassiev comes close but Joshua is a different beast. These bums probably don't even know that Gassiev is campaigning at heavyweight now and coukd be making serious waves in the coming years

People seem to see what they want to see when it comes to Usyk. He is a good fighter 'But with no real great attributes, he is just well schooled and solid all around'.
They were just straight right hands mate, Bellew was boxing very well until he fatigued 'And he fatigued because he was dead at the weight'.
