Boxing fans said they can't fight. But some youtubers are also hardcore boxing fans who watches and studies boxing closely. What 0-1 Logan Paul demonstrated is that you can win versus a real boxer as a youtuber and they are rejoicing right now.
What you also saw was the power of Size and how hard it is to fight BIGGER guys as a smaller guy. This is why we should give more respect to smaller guys fighting biggers guys because they are fighting at a great handicap. Firstly the smaller guy had to overcome the reach advantage, secondly they can use their physical strength on you to either bully you around, push and pull you down, rough you up like hell.
The Tactics used by Logan Paul is similar or:
1. more of Lomachenko vs Salido (Roughed him up minus low blows)
2. with a touch of Pacquiao vs Mayweather (push/pull Rough up and used of length advantage)
Yes, Logan Paul used exactly Floyd Mayweather tactics against him. His reach advantage specially is a huge menace to Floyd, it made so hard for Floyd to reach him because he doesn't have that in and out of Manny Pacquiao where he can close the gap in a blink of an eye and he is used to the situation where he usually has the reach advantage against a fighter. Floyd has 72" arm length same as Errol Spence and Terence Crawford's arm length is even longer than that.
As the flood-gates have totally opened, watch out for real fighters like Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Tyson Fury to start challenging youtubers, tiktokers any moment now. This event will no longer be for retired fighters soon. Very soon even active fighters will start to do it. We will have this exhibition fights every quarterly now. We are watching history! Logan Paul has ushered a new era.
No they don’t. But you’re making way too much of this.
I’m not making much of anything, I just think Floyd’s a c*** for making a mockery of the sport last night.
Absolutely! Kid is said to make up to $20 Million...while he was already a Millionaire damn that is a lot of money in 1 Night. I would go in with a Pro, Sloppy it up and Clinch to the Final Bell as well and walk away with a Ton of Cash if I could too
Yeah more Social Media guys are coming, I will be watching, I have no problem with it I will be watching LiveXLive Youtube vs TikTok events and sadly so will some Network execs looking to sign potentially the next big thing just like Showtime WISELY signed Jake Paul
The casuals don’t understand what we understand though. F*** Floyd for getting involved in this circus.
No they don’t. But you’re making way too much of this.
You sure? This is a harmless event. It in no way legitimizes the YouTube clowns.
you may not admit it but they got deals because people tune in and watch. The problem is when real boxing comes on fans don’t support . Not just casual sports fans. I mean the guys with accounts on this site.
Come on RJJ your making way too much of this.
No one seriously thinks any of these dudes are really boxers. However, some of the actual boxers need to learn from Floyd and these dues on how to build their brands.

The moment Floyd signed to fight this kid he helped legitimise these YouTube clowns. F*** Floyd for disparaging the sport that made him like that.

I have a feeling that this year could be remembered as the passing of the torch year where Floyd passed the Torch to Logan Paul and Manny is who is about to pass his to Errol Spence.
The moment Floyd signed to fight this kid he helped legitimise these YouTube clowns. F*** Floyd for disparaging the sport that made him like that.
That's true. He did helped legitimized them and it looked like they are here to stay now for god know how many years.
You guys are the ones whining like f@gs. I don’t like what’s happening. However, I actually watch real boxing .
Some of you don’t. All you do is b-tch and moan.
Recently, the espn card (navarette) and the 2 pbc cards were all great. None of them did well ratings wise. Fans need to tune in to these kind of fights.
Fans also used to watch the Tuesday and Friday minor cards on USA, espn2 etc. they don’t do that anymore.
So my point is instead of whining, support the sport when it’s on TV and maybe things will change.
That's me I watch all boxing whether it's small or big events. You on the other hand just whine here like a f@g. All you do is stay in this forum forever and whine like f@g. Look at your number of posts, you whine all day like a f@g man.
This one is from CNN recently. To each his own, whether you like what's happening today or not, that's up to you as a boxing fan. You don't need to whine like a f@g every time people share their opinion because you can't control what everyone's thinking.

"If boxing was run then like it is today, Marvin Hagler would probably never have fought Tommy Hearns, or if they fought, maybe after both were out of their primes," said Silver, who also wrote "The Night the Referee Hit Back" and "Stars in the Ring: Jewish Champions in the Golden Age of Boxing".
"We probably would never have seen Alexis Arguello against Aaron Pryor. But we probably would not have seen Sugar Ray Leonard against Roberto Duran. These are fights that made boxing history and make boxing what it was. And the chances are, we might never have seen Frazier versus Ali. It's the utter greed has overtaken the sport and the disrespect for the fan."

All you guys whining in this thread are the f-cking problem.
A fight gets announced- you guys piss on it. You don’t tune in. You complain about boxers. Then you log in and whine when networks invest in garbage ass exhibitions because casual fans buy them and they’re profitable.
Going forward, I suggest some of you whiny f@gg0ts start actually supporting the cards that come on TV. Maybe some of you hoes will turn on a shobox card or other cards with young fighters.
Maybe you guys will start supporting real boxing rather than crapping on it and running here to whine together.
If you want to fix things, start by looking in the mirror.
Floyd should probably stick to fighting smaller guys like Tenshin Nasukawa in his next exhibition fights because he's not good at fighting forward, doesn't know how to cut off the ring, doesn't know how to slip and counter against bigger man like Pacquiao, his pull counter isn't effective against bigger guys because it ends up short. In his next fights he needs to be the bigger man "always" so then he can knock out the smaller guy.
That's probably what's going to happen in his future exhibition matches. Floyd needs to fight smaller men specifically with much shorter reach than him so that he could look good again.
His performance in this fight probably took many millions in his future exhibition fights because Floyd didn't look good at all. The loss of profit for his future exhibition fights based on this bad performance could be 50-75% of what he was doing now. It really hurt him from the business perspective going forward. Mayweather contemplating on ending his exhibition journey is not out of the question now. Specially if showtime or other sponsors will no longer shell huge money for him to fight smaller much more inferior fighters. Showtime wants Jake Paul for him after the Woodley fight I don't think Floyd will do that now.

They own your attention
Your boxing experience will now revolve around what they do
Have fun
Their fans are willing to pay to see their guys which is more than I can say for "real" boxing fans.
The same people berating these fights and demanding "quality" fights are the first to come here begging for or bragging about their illegal streams on fight night.
If you're not willing to pay for your entertainment don't be mad when they find a new product for new customers.

We would have seen Michael Jackson vs Prince and Madonna vs Cyndi Lauper instead.
lmao true. I think the next big one for youtubers is probably after the Floyd vs Logan PPV is released and it's really good then I'm guessing Pacquiao might fight Logan next.
CNN has also bowed down to Logan Paul and accepted that boxing will no longer be the same and it might never be for a long time.
