There is unironically maybe 1-2 active UFC players that may be competitive with him.The rest have zero skills and glass jaws .

It’s ok to like mma and boxing. There is no rule against it. I like both and the Paul brothers don’t bother me.

From what i seen of jake paul he has never talked **** on the sport of boxing. He said he fell in love with the sport and watches mad tape of old school fights. I doesnt make sense to hate a dude who loves the sport and even took out that wrestler ufc fighter ben askren who was dissing boxing for years and said it wasnt a real sport and easy. a lot of ufc fighters been talking **** on boxing, jake paul bringing boxing back and getting eyeballs, he is great for the sport. He also got dana white mad. Now he going after another top dog in ufc tyron woodley, and he doing it in fashion. The kid can box and got real power. I think Micky Rourke got the same unfair treatment. He never had it but he loved the game and walked away from acting becuse he couldn't resist the lure. He had spent his early youth as a go-fer in fight gyms.

Rooting for him? No! I don't mind the kid though he found himself a Lane and sadly he is a bigger Draw than any of these Current Pro Boxers because the kid and his Brother just know how to promote themselves and they're Bringing a HUGE Following with them. The MMA fan in me hates seeing great fighters disgracing themselves and their sport for a payday, the boxing fan in me hates that a lot of the biggest boxing matches these days dont even involve actual active boxers. Its lose/lose imo. Can you imagine when this era of boxing is looked back on and we talk about how AJ/Fury and Spence/Crawford could have happened but instead we got Jake Paul vs Ben Askren and 54 year old Mike Tyson, its bizarre. Those Paul bros were almost certainly MMA guys over boxing guys too, before it was in their business interests to say otherwise. They're rich preppy American white kids in their 20s for fucks sake, both wrestled in high school and Jake keeps obsessing over fucking with the UFC. My guess is he wanted to work with the UFC and they either told him to fuck off or they wouldnt facilitate his bullshit the same way Triller/Showtime would so now hes got a vendetta or just wants to pressure them until they change their mind. Hes smart though i'll give him that, hes maximizing the audience for these fights by bringing in the MMA fans, hes also getting more acceptance from boxing fans than he would since hes positioned himself as a representative of boxing vs MMA.
