He never confirmed De La Hoya sent either him or Jermall an offer to fight Canelo Alvarez because Ginger didn't want that work dumb ass. The closest he came to acknowledging any fight with one of the brothers was back in 2014 when Jermell said that Oscar promised that Canelo would fight the winner of himself and Gabe Rosado but ultimately they decided to fight James Kirkland instead. I think it would take the most powerful drugs in the world for Oscar to believe he has a chance against Canelo. Look at what Mayweather is doing though, us real fans would know it was a disgraceful mismatch but the casuals will still watch just like they’ll watch Floyd fight a YouTuber. What is confusing? Jermell has been nothing but honest to public knowledge. Jermell outed his brother, Jermall, for ducking Canelo and is now saying Oscar didn't let Canelo fight Jermell. The only question left is: did Canelo duck Jermell or did Oscar steer Canelo away? And, to be fair, at that time Jermell had zero excitement and the Kirkland fight was a fan favorite because of Kirkland's style and, at the time, affiliation with 50 cent (SMS promotions).
