Why is Mikey Garcia so inactive ?

I hope sitting around doing nothing did something for his bank account.

Back when around the time there was a lot of talk of him fighting Lomachenko, instead later we got him v Spence which honestly I don't think many people were really calling for, the excitement dropped noticeably. These days it seems he is the forgotten man to a point, I don't hear too many people saying X should fight Mikey. Maybe he still has popularity within a demographic I'm not familiar with, but it does seem his stocks have dropped considerably. A little guy named Manny Pacquiao still wants to fight him, so he's doing alright

the question that should be asked is why nobody pushes him to have a meaningful fight vs Crawford, Porter, Ortiz jr etc, he's ranked 4th best WW by boxrec, but at the same time DAZN should force a 39 year old Golovkin to fight the "premium opponents"

Seems like all Mikey does nowadays is buy cars and eat pizza. He's living the good life, he just isn't very motivated by legacy. He's always in the gym, yet when you see him he look like he's 185 190 and he's a 140 pound fighter. He should just retire

I know in recent times he said he doesn’t want to fight without a crowd A few years ago he obviously had issues with Top Rank. Aside from that, it seems he’s just as a point where he isn’t bothered about being active and just looking for the right fights for him.

He made 18 million combined just between his fights with Lipinets, Spence and Vargas. He can afford to sit out and hope for a big money fight like Pacquiao.Taylor would be a great fight if he pulls off the win over his stablemate Ramirez.
