Here is a list of the guys Canelo will probably fight next.
Juergen Braehmer
Zach Parker
John Ryder
Fedor Chudniov
Or do you think he may take a fight at middleweight and fight against..
Felix Cash
Danny Dignum?
Okay, I could understand paying for Canelo vs Mall or Andrade, but Lubin? He hasn't achieved anything significant in the sport yet, and the one high level fighter he faced knocked him smooth out in one round. LOL you'd drop money on a ppv for that?
You can't pay me enough to watch Andrade vs Canelo. Jermall-Canelo I'd watch if it's on cable channel. I wouldn't subscribe to DAZN for that one either.
Lubin has style and ring personality. Jermell caught him, it happens. We'll see a rematch down the road.
I'd love to see Canelo mix it up with the African American boxers between 154 and 160, at 160. Canelo-Lubin I'd even pay PPV for it.

All while tank can't even make a fight with a legitimate champions.. It's sad that you don't honor the best fighting the best but rather just accept that the fighter you follow sucks dick (probably literally) and only cherry picks the weekest of any division. It's even worse when you open your mouth to criticize the real champs making real moves. You need to re-evaluate your life man. It's pretty pathetic.
:bottle::bottle:
Nobody cares for a Canelo vs Plant. It has no chemistry.
Screw the fake trinkets and the undisputed garbage.
Weak ass, historically meek division.
Another Euro bumfeast on Eddie's dime it is. Ryder is my pick.

When does the What If's stop doe. Maybe David beats both Caleb & BJS. Maybe some guy we ain't even talking about yet beats David, Caleb & Canelo. This is like giving kids 9th place trophies in a way in that you are assuming someone who's yet to show he can operate at a higher level than another guy has proved.
To me its all a matter of SOMEONE is the best today. And based on known evidence & fights that person is Canelo. And its been Canelo. The only question is when did Canelo become #1. For me was #1 once he entered the division with a W, but I think even if anyone disagrees you'd have to have him #1 once he white washed Callum, who many had as #1 off of his WBSS trophy.
Sure, but in the meantime SOMEONE gots to be #1 unless your ranking guys like the IBF does where they got their top 10 or top 15, but #1 & #2 are often blank lmfao.
The What Ifs really only stop when a guy unifies all 4 belts.
This wouldn't be an issue if there was only 1 world champion per weight class. But since there's not that's the next best thing.
Plant is gonna outprice himself. He knows he can't win. And then Canelo will be forced to fight someone we probably never heard of. The Benavidez fight isn't happening. I think Canelo wins, but he knows Benavidez has trouble making 168 so he's gonna let that fight sit on the shelf for a bit.
I'd add Spence too but I do like Bud's style a lot better when facing a Canelo since he has a fantastic ability to keep pressure fighters off of him and just make them look embarrassing. I think with Spence if he can't overpower you he's in trouble.
Predamaged version, I'd have agreed. I still like Spence but I think he should wind his career down a little. Maybe get a soft touch once a year. Let the body rehabilitate.
If people don't believe me just compare the difference between Manny's ability to deal with Jeff Horn's pressure and Bud's ability to deal with his pressure. The difference is night and day, I do not care if you think the Pac fight was a robbery, Horn had ZERO success walking Bud down, putting him up against the ropes, landing anything. If Bud fights Porter I think it would be similar to the Kell Brook fight from years back, just blast him with the 1-2 all night from the outside and when he tries and get inside, tie him up.
Now I want to see a better challenge with Canelo.
Add Bud in there too. Plenty to choose from. I wanna see some exciting fights, not Plant running around the ring.

Me too, Lara would be a good one
You may think I am completely crazy but I would also add Terence Crawford to the list.

I'd rather see a Lara rematch at 160, too, than Plant.

I would LOVE to see Canelo gt in the ring with Lubin, J Roc, Jermell, Harrison or Hurd. These are the type of good challenging fights that we need.

Canelo is #1 at 168 now & was before he took BJS's belt.
Maybe, Eff.
But how do we know that Caleb Plant might not be slicker than BJS, with less brittle bones and/or less quit in him?
We can't know for sure until it's settled in the ring. And luckily Canelo plans to do just that.
In any case having all 4 belts in a division leaves much less doubt than having just one. Hard to argue against that.
I think Canelo's best weight is 160. I didn't care for all the weight jumping. 168 has historically been a Euro territory and a weak division nobody gave a **** about. Canelo isn't avoiding GGG. Those two also will never fight. Zero interest in that one for me. I think GGG already has other plans for his next few retirement fights.

People talking about Davis and belts. When he beat Pedraza for the IBF, Sulaiman, in his rush, without a call from either Floyd or Haymon, ranked him instantly at number 1 at the WBC. I guess he was told no interest, at the time. They took it off a few days later. Imagine if Davis wanted to get help with getting all the belts? He's indifferent. That's why I'm a fan of his. I despise all the current belts equally.
Ehh. Davis isn't really maximizing the potential of his career either though.
Belts also generate interest and money on top of that.
Why do you think Mayweather always sought to secure the WBC belt? Its recognition brings a lot of intrinsic value to his earnings but also career.
Davis is doing a lot of hopping around without maximizing earnings nor legacy. So in the long run, he's just hurting himself.
It's actually why I don't understand many of these new boxers now days. Canelo is doing the right moves; he's setting history for himself and in untapped territory for Mexicans. Spence is securing and maximizing the potential of his earnings. Fury already had lineal and now maximizing that by unifying.
These dudes like Shakur, Davis, Ryan, Teo etc. they just sit on their ass wasting away. Dudes like Crawford, Charlo bros, Andrade who "I just fight who they put in front of me" are also wasting away.
Maximize that money man. In maximizing the money, it's gonna maximize the legacy by default but not always the other way around tbh.
I don't know man , IMHO Canelo really wants to unify and Plant has that belt. Canelo will pay I think low end for plant is 10 high end would be the 15 .I think he gets between 12-13 million.
Does Plant even earn that much right now?
Like, without Canelo, does plant even earn over 3 million a fight?
Spence earned 8 million guaranteed + ppv revenue against Danny G.
Danny G earned 5 million + a share of ppv revenue.
Crawford made 4 million for Brook and 5.5 million for Khan. (both guaranteed)
Plant doesn't even fight guys equal to Crawford's washed up, has-been opponents. Does he even make more than 3 million a fight to be getting anything near that range?
Seems like Canelo would give him the Mayweather treatment of, "You get a flat 10 million. I take everything else."
Does Plant even generate numbers for that matter? He's really one of these obscure talents even if "we" know of him. Casuals sure in the hell don't.
Clarissa Shields mention, which I agree, that Andrade should "intercept" the Plant fight and push very very hard for that Plant fight. Make Canelo earn that undisputed.
Andrade won't do that though. He's a weirdo like that.
Anything Andrade "should" do, he doesn't and then goes about it a harder way.
I also don't think Plant would take a fight with Andrade because he will see it as a minimal beneficial fight.
