For all the Canelo groupies

These are all facts but let's not make this into a Mexico vs. America thing. I love both countries. There are lots of great true Mexican warriors today like Leo Santa Cruz, Juan Francisco Estrada and others. I will say that Mexican boxing fans are very smart and they see through all of the Canelo bull****, when I was in Mexico watching fights the fans all seemed to agree that Canelo is a complete fraud and that's why they don't support him down there the same way they supported the greats like Marquez, Barrera, Morales, JCC. I don't care about trivial things like that. I'm a boxing fan. It doesn't matter what color, country, religion etc. Canelo is a great fighter. I currently would rank him p4p #1 but let's not blow things out of proportion. People somehow have such a limited mindset where if you applaud one guy then you critize everyone else. Or if you critise one guy then you're just a hater. That's not true in the slightest yet some people lack the basic comprehension and intelligence to understand something as basic as that. Look at the shit KushKing claims, Canelo is just as guilty of not more guilty than what he accuses GGG of but because of his bias he can't see it.

height is meaningless, but somehow you still have people on here claiming G was bigger than Canelo due to height. Yeah way too many people mistake height for size.

Canelo is a natural Super Middleweight IMO.

If Charlo wants Canelo, he must go to 168. Why would Canelo go down for Charlo? You very clearly missed the point. I could care less what weight they fought at. My problem is with the people who keep pretending that Canelo is a small guy. He ISNT. If he was truly a small SMW making 160 would be no problem but even he is unsure he could do that. There's this narrative Canelo is such a small guy that he was a small MW. A lie and somehow literally overnight he somehow became a full fledged SMW who can't make 160 anymore. Do guys overnight just become unable to make weight?

Once again, Canelo has a longer reach (albeit only slightly) than Golovkin. Why is it so fucking hard to look up basic statistics?

Canelo was still growing a bit more & maturing as fighter while going up in weight v ggg,ggg had been getting horribly sick making weight for every fight for years now. Why is it so hard to see ggg is clearly naturally bigger than Canelo when they fought? Canelo has NOW grown into what atgs have called "a mw fighting at lhw,which makes him faster more compact & stronger"(RJJ said this about himself iirc but it applies to canelo now too) What you're basically saying is that Canelo is the better fighter than ggg,because anytime you have someone who recently fought at jmw fighting at smw & lhw now,& beating more back to back champs than anyone in history (afaik)while ggg fights cherrypicked smaller fighters & bums,that automatically means hes better, Ggg the bigger man because naturally mw entire career(he just doesn't want to fight bigger guys) bigger (longer reach, naturally stronger etc.(naturally is key word here)those things are advantages in boxing,& thats why nobody else is 5'8" fighting lhw champs or Smith sized opponents. Its funny that the same exact shit you're bashing GGG for what Canelo is guilty for but in a much worse way. How many dudes did Canelo fight at 155 that he outweighed? ALL OF THEM. I'd bet money right now you're thinking, maybe I can discredit GGG and make Canelo look good by saying GGG was afraid to turn pro and just liked beating on amateurs. But again, you're too stupid to understand and lack the intelligence to understand that those countries place a much larger value amateur boxing and bringing ones country glory instead of oneself and the fact that despite that your point is still moot because you've ignored the fact that at 23 years old Canelo was already MW sized and GGG turned pro at 24. They are similarly sized. What Canelo lacks in the few inches of height he literally makes up for in mass. Dudes even have the sake reach FFS. you know why most guys who are 5'8" don't fight at SMW or higher? It's just not the "physical" advantages, it's that most people lack the genetics or size to fight at that weight. Ask yourself why you got guys who are 6 foot fighting at lightweight. Why can't they just fight as HWs? How many dudes do you know who are 5'8" and walk around 190lbs?

Why would Canelo go down to chase Charlo? Charlo wants it, go to 168 to get it. I swear these people think they're so entitled, everything has to be handed to them without working for it.

He also has a slightly longer reach than G too. Height is the only thing they can hold on to. The reach reported on boxrec is bs though(in that ggg has longer arms,thats what matters). Its an advantage for fighters to be taller, there's a reason nobody but Canelo is 5'8 going against guys 6'3" 168 lb champ level fighters,nor against kovs, the last great fighter Canelos height that did what Canelos doing (to a much lesser level,was Dick Tiger who had cancer & lost his 175 champ fight. )

I believe Canelo has matured into a full 168 i doubt he makes 160 now without problems. He’s not a young man anymore, he’s nearly 31. Dropping 8lbs after fighting for a couple of years at a higher weight is very difficult at that age and only going to get more difficult. people look into height too much, it means nothing. There’s lightweights taller than Mike Tyson. you can clearly see when fighter is piling on muscle just to fight in a higher weight class that’s too big for him. But Canelo looks like a real 168, just on the shorter side.
