It just gets beyond old & tiring waiting for the fights we want to see happen. I'm tired of watching the mismatches where I know 99% of the time on who's going to win already. I just have zero interest anymore in watching those type of one sided fights & I haven't been watching hardly any of them lately. Why do we always have to wait so long just to have a fight come to fruition. I don't know about anyone else just I can't watch these fights anymore until we get the fights everyone wants to actually see.
Oh and I'd like to add to it, this new format of the site really sux and has also increased my lack of caring/watching, lol. I just honestly do not feel this site appealing anymore with its new look or forum design. Like, showing up right now takes a lot of effort because I think everything looks sloppy now. Totally prefer the older look. Thus, I barely read the news anymore on this site and never went to any other boxing site for my news...
Honestly, I never thought the day would come and it probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for this pandemic. With the lack of fights due to the inability to present them on a regular basis, I got used to life without watching boxing. Now when there is a matchup, it HAS to be worth while to watch it or you can only lose more interest.
Unbelievably, since being trapped at home and being on youtube more than ever in my life, I've fallen in love with arm wrestling, rofl. Another niche sport but damn it's entertaining when you watch the top level guys. They have big personalities and it's something I can relate to in that I train in the gym for strength. Arm wrestling is like the ultimate strength sport. At least at this point in my life where I can't train in boxing as much because my body is hurting everywhere and throwing decent punches isn't as easy as it used to be. I've decided to just get big and lift heavy.
Though yeah man, I hear you. I've just lost a lot of interest. I still watch the big fights or fighters I'm familiar with but I feel like my days of watching unknown fighters and upcomers on something like a ShoBox are over. I mean I would certainly do it if a friend was around and wanted to drink and watch but by myself like the old days, I don't think so. Then again, everything takes a spark to get back in hardcore. Perhaps it is just a moment that will pass like a lot of things and I'll find the fire again to enjoy boxing like my younger days. :boxing:
I never get tired of boxing.
Only thing I ever get tired of is message boards and fans that constantly complain about boxing.
Leave all that emotion for the women. It ain’t like y’all crying gonna change anything so why even bother?
Hardcore Boxing Fan but Boxing NEVER been my #1 Sport not even close
So yea while I'm not losing interest, my expectations have came all the way down to reality. It is Fighters under the same Promotion and Network/APP and yet still it is no priority to make the fights fans want. At the same time too, I understand that Boxing Target Audience is no longer the Hardcore Boxing Fans it is clear to me that Boxing want NEW FANS which is why the Paul Brothers are so successful because they bring that New Audience and Demo that Boxing have been trying to figure out for years how to get them more interested and well I think they have figured it out. In them trying to gain a brand new Audience, some of us OLD Original Hardcore Boxing Fans might feel like we're being slapped in the face and we are. Powers that be in boxing full knows that despite all the complaining we do on the Internet, we're still going to continue to watch no matter what and yeah they're somewhat right because I will keep watching
It is not frustration but more so FUNNY when you throw a regular fight party the young kids are running around or in the other room playing video games not caring about the fight at all. However, when Jake Paul is fighting all of a sudden they care about boxing and asking can they order the Fight...

Losing interest can sometimes indicate growth. If you are in your 40s, 50s, 60s, I'd say it's a natural process to check out of some of the things you used to love. Many oldtimers aren't that interested anymore. There was a thread on the front page today telling us this fact.
Younger fans are taking over. Boxing will never be the same. I'm cool with that. Not talking about youtubers. Real boxing will always exist among younger, fresher boxing fans.
Yes, I lost some interest, but I'll always be a boxing fan. I'll watch select fights, going forward.
Yeah, it's only because boxing is horrible at the moment. All these young potentially good fighters who don't wanna fight each other.
I remember when hype jobs would cherry pick and duck the hard fights.
Nowadays we have hype jobs who are basically ducking other hypejobs.
True, I don't go out of my way to watch old fights or recent fights I've not seen but know the result of and who wins.
I get interested in potential match ups and who will fight who.. And try predict who would win.
For example id like to know who'd win between Josh and fury, Crawford v spence, ruiz v wilder etc.
There are live-dogs that provide good test, and produce enjoyable fights and sometimes even surprise us, all the time. You could see this more often if you had interest in other boxers that are not mainstream, for example : Mauricio Lara KO Josh Warrington after Josh vacated the IBF feater-weight title, Brandon Adams vs. Serhii Bohachuk, Erika Cruz upset Jelena Mrdjenovich for the WBA Female Feather-weight title ; the 'Blonder-Bomber' Ebanie Bridges almost beat Shannon Courtenay for the WBA bantam weight championship in a thriller! Angel Ruiz and Bobirzhan Mominov put on a great eight-rounder with Ruiz coming out on top against the undefeated prospect. Former WBC flyweight champion Diago Higa, was upset last week by 3-0 Ryosuke Nishida!
This week we got the IBF flyweight champ Moruti Mathlane, traveling to defend against the slight underdog of the UK Sunny Edwards, you got former WBO 154 champ Liam Smith, going over to Russia to test the undefeated promising prospect Magomed Kurbanov coming up, these fights go under the radar, and many more like these happen all the time. Dont let the media and uninformed bozos tell you that boxing is dead, they DKSAB.
Boxing’s becoming a joke. No super fights ever get made. There’s more fights between the promoters than there is between the fighters. Boxing is becoming a farce.
I Cant even imagine what it’s going to be like in 10 years time, the fights will probably happen on social media instead.
You're not enjoying all the Twitter fights?
It is horrendous--
I cannot read another fake article about a fighter mentioning another fighter about a "potential fight" all lies. all fake.
Good for Jake Paul on capitalizing on a fake industry--MMMA will take over, the boxing model with promoters to dead.

True, it's just a shame. I've only watched maybe 3 fights this year so far since hardly any of them interest me. It's just a bunch of boring mismatches.
