Floyd could've rematched Pac anytime he wanted,& he would've been guaranteed billionaire status,& would've shut up detractors for good. But instead hes been cherrypicking complete bums while pretending to be retired(we know hes not retired,he just wants all reward no risk imho)
Is the fact hes hes fighting YouTube bums instead proof he ducked Pac rematch from fear of losing?
Edit response:My argument is that Floyd could've rematched pac when his shoulder healed(& he can most definitely rematch him now as both needed opponents & Pac is going to now fight Mikey, theres no logical justification for Paul even sparring Floyd)
(pac filed paperwork that said he was injured before the fight & afterwards got surgery. But Floyd could've rematched him & sold the fight as"I can beat him again without excuses"
(pac fans would've jumped on board & Floyd fans would pay ppv like they always do. Floyd would've made more than v mcgimper & way more than v Berto(considering he already got lions share 1st fight, rematch he would've gotten more as A side (like 75-25 or 70-30) ,& now hes fighting a 0-1 bum
Paul is such a bum that he has only fought once in a 6 rd amateur fight he lost. Pac is only 2 yrs younger than Floyd & he could rematch him now instead of someone whos not good enough to be called a bum in boxing terms, bums like Yildirim are gods in comparison.
Remember how many years floyd fans have claimed "hEs ReTiReD DoE"? but now hes coming outta retirement as I said from day 1 to fight another bum & sell it on ppv & itll likely be added to his record.(like i said hed do if he found a lucrative bum)
I find it funny that anyone can with a straight face pretend Floyd is retired & is justified for the biggest mismatches in the history of boxing.(when has a former p4p ever faced a 0-1 6 rd amateur?on ppv especially :lol1:{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.boxingscene.com\/forums\/core\/image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP\/\/\/wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw=="}

Did Floyd duck pac rematch?(please explain)

well if judges favor the likes of horn and bradley then we can guarantee that vegas well favor floyd over pac that's why outside of vegas people think that pac won the fight. Floyd will never rematch pac because his IV was exposed and he will never be allowed to use a single drop of IV in rematch.
I think if it was close enough he probably would've like he did with Castillo and Maidana but it wasn't. Also, it's already been mentioned but he was willing to do it again but Pac made a load of excuses and hardly gave Floyd any credit so Floyd moved on. It was a clear decision and not exactly a great fight so didn't really justify a rematch.
It wasn't a close fight at all. Floyd gave rematches to Maidana and Castillo because their performances in the first fights warranted it. Pacquiao got schooled easily.
F@ck floyd! Pac is still here Hunting the undefeated Welterweights! He's done with one. 2 more to Go! Crawford seems to copy Floyds Ducking strategy. Spence better show some balls and agree to a Fight. Pacquiao is the Greatest Fighter of all Time. I've been saying that since 2008.
Why would he? It wasn’t that close. It was a 9-3 kind of fight.
It was a very routine uneventful Mayweather win and nobody was really crying out to see it again. The same would’ve happened every time.
well I have several issues with believing that.
1st off: he faced Berto after Pac(whom nobody would've expected to win even a few rds, then he faced a 0-0 novice who can barely punch with 8 oz gloves on,let alone have the stamina to go 12,whom gets battered in his own sport. ) Then fast forward to today Pac is 2 yrs younger than him,& a rematch would make him an instant billionaire.
So I don't believe Floyd didn't rematch someone because he is expected to win badly by many,he faced several opponents that say otherwise (brought minimal money reward & no prestige)(Floyds nicknamed money because hes ALWAYS made clear thats all he cares about)
Smith wasn't days past 23 & forced to weigh less than capable of,Canelo rematch would've broken records(& Canelo would've been expected to do far better. Which had Floyd won again would've been argument-proof hes the goat(atm his Canelo win has an asterisk in manys eyes )(I'm not saying immediate rematch for Canelo either(& Canelo I think was too big & risky just 1-2 yrs after their fight so that's more justified not to rematch him imo),
but Pac had a shoulder excuse & had looked awful prior to Floyd fight,& it was an all around terrible fight Because Pac didn't look good(if he fought like he did v Thurman it would've been a great fight)(I'm inclined to believe shoulder excuse,& that Pac at the time just wanted to cashout which is why it got made & he submitted to testing, because after he got kod by roidquez he realized how stupid he'd been & just needed money)
Pac rematch would've guaranteed Floyd more money than all the youtubers combined(he can still rematch him, they're only 2 yrs apart,& Pac beating Thurman would mean it breaks 1st fights records)
If Floyd faced Pac now it would make him more than the 1st fight considering how much moneys now floating around imo.
If Floyds willing to fight a cw who heavily outweighs him,he should be willing to fight a guy 2 yrs younger whom is a tiny ww,& whom would further cement his legacy(even if he lost he'd have an excuse,& even haters would have to acknowledge his greatness for taking rematch.
Revisionist history and a lie.
Pacquiao comfortably beat Bradley, Algeri, and Brandon Rios before Floyd. When exactly did he look "awful"in those fights? You don't have to pretend you're trying to analyze the topic when it's obvious that you have an agenda. Nothing more than that.
IIRC the consensus among fans was that it was nowhere near as good as what we had waited for (watched it during the lockdown and it was a better fight than I remember, so we were likely all let down by the hype/wait) but I don't remember anyone (other than the deluded Pac fans who like to post slow motion video) who wanted to see another one.
Floyd/Oscar is a rematch that should have happened. I could give a **** about Floyd/Manny II or Floyd/Canelo II
Yeah pretty much this. There was never much demand for a rematch other than from the Pacquiao fans that still can't accept the loss.
The fights were easily won by Floyd and were not entertaining. Floyd went to fight McGregor and got the second biggest boxing PPV event. Don't know the reasoning of the OP.

I'll read your response when I'm done feeding my son, it's loner than I expected. But just to counter the Berto argument (all I made it through so far) He was never going to take a challenge with fight 49. He wanted to tie Marciano and didn't want to have a close fight where judges could rule it a draw or a loss. Just like Holmes attempted when he fought Spinks for W49
I think a lot of us wanted him to fight a young Keith Thurman at the time. I could be wrong though
It wasn't a close fight. Would have been like Canelo rematching Cotto, just like Floyd rematching Canelo would have been like Canelo rematching Smith.

Was there even a demand for a rematch? I do remember Floyd saying he would never give him a rematch after Manny started with the shoulder excuses.

Floyd/Oscar is a rematch that should have happened. I could give a sh*t about Floyd/Manny II or Floyd/Canelo II
- -Daddy won't let Sissyboy fight the rematch same reason he ducked the first fight for five years. Poor dear been in gnat sized jockstraps the whole of his life...
