Jake Paul represents a demographic in America that boxing has almost totally lost. The suburban white kid who wrestled in HS and grew up on the UFC which is exactly what Jake himself is. Think of how many of his young white suburban fans are probably thinking for the first time ever of maybe joining a boxing gym instead of getting into wrestling at school or joining an MMA gym.
Dana White is angry at this kid because he's disrupting what Dana spent the last 20 years cultivating, trying to portray boxing as a dead sport who only kids from the ghettos pick-up if they ever pick it up at all. So they all flocked to the UFC.

Clown show. He is abusing boxing for his own personal gain.
Fight a legitimate Light heavyweight or Cruiser weight Boxer in a sanctioned fight (with drug testing and all the bells and whistles).
Mr pretend don't even think you belong to stand in the presence of the greats likeMuhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis and Iron Mike Tyson.
Maybe in your little world. In the real boxing world, he doesn't count. He's not a boxer and hasn't even fought ONE boxer. Useless waste of space this thread is. Screw Jake Paul.
His Demo are never going to become New Hardcore Boxing fans that is not going to happen. They will watch HIM when HE fights but no they're not going to all of a sudden become Hardcore Boxing fans and start buying other boxing PPV's
Lmfao.
Suburban white boys?
Yeah right. "Suburban white boys" been rocking Tap Out shirts for years they're not all of a sudden gonna decide boxing is cool because the learning Curve is a lot higher than other sports.
You guys need to stop stereotyping because it's simply not the truth.
Jake Paul has only shown that boxing is a niche sport that no one cares for. It's so bad a complete nobody walked in and took it over.
Name one other sport where that could happen that isn't boxing. Quit embarasing yourselves.
Eminem made it because he's good at his craft and broke the mold. Imagine the discrimination he had to face all because he wanted to rap.
Jake Paul isn't a world class boxer so don't pretend he is.
Your kind of right.
jake Paul out draws Canelo and Pac people just hate admitting it
Exactly. Look at my post just above about fan relatability. Few people in American can relate to an Irishman who exclusively speaks Spanish and it's clear cut where Manny would struggle in that regard.
Jake Paul is to boxing what Eminem was to rap and people are mad.
Kids will go to finish high school and continue their education. Understand that combat sports, DO NOT work like other sports.
Society has change there are many more opportunities for people these days. A true definition of a sport was a leisure activity, boxing really? Is not a leisure activity.
It is not a game, or a sport really
You can say the same about MMA really and it's always had its share of suburban white boy fighters. You can say Jake Paul is copying the schticks of Conor McGregor and Colby MAGA Covington hard.
The success of a sport whether it's boxing or curling depends a lot on how much can fans relate to the athletes.
