We saw an MMA guy with a record of 18-2 get blitzed inside of one round. MMA guys are generally really low level that's why Brock Lesnar could convert and dominate and why Jake paul was so able to easily destroy a MMA fighter with a good resume.
It's a joke sport.
Are you a accountant or a combat sports fan? I don't care about the numbers, it is a big legitimate fight 'For the reasons that I have stated on this thread'.
If Dana White phoned you up tomorrow and asked you 'Hey man, do you want me to make Ngannou vs Dillian Whyte? you would say yes etc'
It isnt about my opinion on whether its a good fight or not, its about being realistic. The UFC is not going to put one of their belts on the line against Dillian fucking Whyte in his first UFC fight, it would be completely absurd from their perspective. He obviously knows this himself so hes talking lots of shit without fear of having his bluff called. If he said something more realistic like "I wanna compete in the UFC" they would gladly book him against a top 10-15 level guy immediately and he could earn his title shot. He wont do that though. Its one of those situations where someone strategically makes an intentionally ridiculous demand so you're forced to either accept it or look like you're ducking.
Jesus....okay so Conor was bullying poor FLOYD ****ING MAYWEATHER by fighting him in a BOXING match. And 13-15 in MMA Artem Lobov was picking on Paulie by fighting him in a bare knuckle fight. Got it.
Like I said, you just want an uncharacteristically favourable stylistic match up for a "boxer" (who moved to boxing from kickboxing and MMA) to fight an MMA fighter who has basically never show anything other than boxing and takedown defence, in a literal ****ing UFC title fight. Obviously you and I both know that even if Whyte won that fight it wouldnt be particularly representative of how a boxer vs MMA fighter under MMA rules would usually go. And if Whyte actually had to earn the title shot by winning a few fights first he probably wouldnt be able to because he'd run into guys that would wrestle him.
It'd be bigger than a typical Ngannou fight but I think hes overestimating how much by. Ngannou is a 500k buys kinda guy, a fight with Whyte might bump it up to like 800k then if it was on PPV in the UK maybe another 200k at a £20 price point. Good numbers but hardly so huge that the UFC would jump at it. If it was AJ or Fury instead it'd probably do closer to 2m American and another mil in the UK.

Boxing is a working class sport, but wow people around here have elitist mindsets 'Whyte vs Ngannou has major appeal' that is all there is to it.
Lol l, you all must think that professional golf, phuking and professional basketball are the same cause a ball goes in a hole. Your all morons and obviously proud to share it with everyone.

Get in the ring with one and find out for yourself. Lol. U probably never been in a fight outside of a chat room.

Boxing is apart of mixed martial arts, and even still? Mixed Martial Arts fighters need some sort of advantage.
Conor Mcgregor should been fighting at 160 pounds and above.
Conor Mcgregor should of really been fighting middle weights, but instead he fought Mayweather who he out weighed by 20 pounds.
The guy who fought Malignaggi, Artem Lobov? Well Malignaggi again came out of retirement.
Mixed Martial Arts fighters typically don't fight fighters in their own weight class, or fighters at the peak of their careers.
Whyte vs Ngannou would be the first time it has ever happened.
Jesus....okay so Conor was bullying poor FLOYD FUCKING MAYWEATHER by fighting him in a BOXING match. And 13-15 in MMA Artem Lobov was picking on Paulie by fighting him in a bare knuckle fight. Got it.

Would it do far bigger numbers than Ngannou v another UFC fighter? Maybe but that much? Who knows.

What are you talking about? the recent fights have all been MMA fighters going to boxing, or bare knuckle boxing. Lol @ MMA fighters "picking on" boxers by going to ****ing boxing to fight them.
Ah yes but all the alphabet soup titles in boxing are.
Lewis and Stipe are bigger stars than Whyte.
Again, you just want a 2nd tier boxer (who in an MMA fight would really be a kickboxer with prior MMA experience) who isnt even a champion in boxing to walk into a UFC title shot opportunistically against a guy who is basically a big puncher with takedown defence, the most one dimensional champion since Brock, except Brocks one dimension was wrestling. That way if Whyte lost you could be like "Whyte is **** anyway, its not AJ or Fury" but if he won you could use it to **** on MMA forever. I see what you're doing!!!!

when did I say it wouldn’t be a big fight?
I said it would bring another demographic, id like to see it too.
my point is would it bring in the same money as a bigger name in boxing ? No.
Would it do far bigger numbers than Ngannou v another UFC fighter? Maybe but that much? Who knows.
For the risk involved for UFC, I’d imagine they would prefer an even bigger name with little or no experience in other combat sports in terms of someone waltzing into their business and getting a fight with one of their biggest stars.
Anthony Joshua is in a two fight deal to face Tyson Fury, they have gone 'Forget about them'.
Which leaves Dillian Whyte, a boxer with multi-dimensional combat experience.
So? You are admitting what I said early in this thread.
The UFC are spooked, because for the first time in history? One of their guys is not picking on a boxer who is retired or weight classes below themselves 'Whyte also as I have said, has multi-dimensional combat experience'.
It is the first legitimate invasion into the UFC by a boxer at his peak 'Who wants to fight them on their terms'.
You have to admit the fight has appeal.
Mixed Martial Arts fighters ether pick on fighters who are not in their weight class or boxers who have basically retired.
What are you talking about? the recent fights have all been MMA fighters going to boxing, or bare knuckle boxing. Lol @ MMA fighters "picking on" boxers by going to fucking boxing to fight them.
Why are you speaking as if the UFC title is some sort of prestigious title? It is not really.
Ah yes but all the alphabet soup titles in boxing are.
There is pretty much nobody in the UFC Heavyweight division besides Ngannou, otherwise I would know about them.
Lewis and Stipe are bigger stars than Whyte.

You are being subjective, you have a issue with Whyte because he has beef with Tyson Fury.
Whether you like it or not Dillian Whyte is one of the top heavyweights in the game, he has multi-dimensional combat experience and wants to fight Ngannou.
This is first in boxing and Mixed Martial Arts.
Most if not all boxing fans around the world will tune in to watch the match up, and all of the Mixed Martial Arts fans will also be watching.
It is a big fight, the second biggest heavyweight fight the UFC can make outside of Jones vs Ngannou.
You need to stop being subjective mate.
Dillian Whyte is ranked in the top 6-7 heavyweights world wide.

All I was saying was I’m sure they would take the likes of Fury or AJ in a heartbeat, there would be almost no chance of them winning . Whyte is a more risky proposition for less money.
I cant believe i'm having to repeatedly explain to you why Dillian Whyte getting an off the bat UFC title shot is ****ing insane lol.
I'm guessing the main reason you want it is because you think the stylistic match up would give the boxer a better chance at winning than usual, and the MMA fanboys would never live it down if he actually won a UFC title..right?
Mixed Martial Arts fighters ether pick on fighters who are not in their weight class or boxers who have basically retired.
Dilllian Whyte has multi-dimensional combat experience, a is a top current heavyweight boxer.
It is a big fight, and a meaningful fight.
Why are you speaking as if the UFC title is some sort of prestigious title? It is not really.
There is pretty much nobody in the UFC Heavyweight division besides Ngannou, otherwise I would know about them.
It is a big fight, that can be made easily.
Dana White is all about making good fights 'Whyte vs Ngannou is a great fight'.
You are being subjective, you have a issue with Whyte because he has beef with Tyson Fury.

True
of course if Whyte went into UFC and that fight, I think mostly all real boxing fans would tune in, if only for curiosity. So I guess it still brings another demographic to the table somewhat.
but really, how much does he bring to the table? He’s not massively known outside of the UK when it comes to casual sports fans or maybe USA fans, so maybe they don’t feel it’s worth it
Especially when you consider he has a decent level of experience in kickboxing. I think UFC would think it’s more of a risk than just a straight boxer coming in and fighting their champ straight off the bat. And in that case, I think they would only entertain a genuine boxing star, At least the rewards would be huge.
it wouldnt be a good look if a second tier boxer who is a very competent kick-boxer landed one on their champ. They would want huge money generated for that to take place and Whyte doesn’t bring that.

Again, bro, you're asking for a 2nd tier HW with no belt and limited star power outside of the UK to for some reason be able to walk into a UFC title shot. And using your "big fight" logic, you could justify these Paul brothers getting title shots whenever they feel like it too. Most of the UFC LW/WW top 10 would do better numbers boxing Canelo than BJS, Yildrim, Smith, Jacobs etc as well, doesnt mean they're entitled to ****ing title shots in boxing because of it.
if it was AJ or Fury? sure, they bring enough to the table.
If it was Ngannou vs Whyte in kickboxing ie a compromise? sure.
If Whyte came into the UFC and actually won a couple of fights first? sure.
I dont think Ngannou is being promoted as the UFCs version of Mike Tyson either. Hes black and he hits hard, thats pretty much where the comparisons end.

UFC provides us with great cards every month. Competitive top level boxing matches are relatively rare and the undercards usually suck. Plus all the robberies, hometown cooking, referees who are paid to penalise a fighter for whatever they do in order to prevent him winning.
Boxing stinks with corruption. We’ve got Canelo fighting BJS in a few weeks and we all know Billy Joe will have to score and KO to get a draw. Complete bull****.
If boxing was run better, we wouldn’t be having the fu#king Triller sideshows we have now.
It’s a lot of money being pumped into it so we’ll see how long it lasts.
Thread starter has taken a couple of boxercise classes and thinks he's a boxer, how cute. Imagine starting troll threads on the internet, and obsessing about how shit MMA fighters are, to inflate your own ego because you've taken one or two boxercise classes and consider yourself a boxer. I know what you are Nubian, and more importantly you know it too.
Say what you want about MMA/UFC, but their marketing plan is executed well.
Why do you think there is a huge interest and following with these circus fights with old stars coming back like Tyson and YouTube stars? Because boxing doesn’t have a huge fan base.
Boxing way of operating is harming the sport. We don’t get compelling and competitive fights often enough. I think it’s gotten better recently, but there are still a bunch of match ups that should’ve happened, that has not happened yet or happened too late. As a result, boxing has failed to capture a younger fan base. Boxing is trying to compete with UFC, so it’s putting on these Triller shows. UFC is still going to be here for a long time.
Now as far as UFC guys not being able to fight, well their striking in a boxing realm sucks. That’s just because a boxing style wouldn’t serve them well in the octagon because they need to defend against other things that boxers don’t need to worry about.

I have no idea who the other UFC heavyweights are, zero.

Who is Ngannou fighting next?
This will be the first time a boxer, pretty much near enough at his peak of his career 'With some multi-dimensional combat experience, wants to fight a UFC Champion'.
People don't want it to happen, because the media is trying to build Ngannou up as the UFC's version of Mike Tyson 'But in reality it looks like Whyte has spooked him'.

It is actually a less straightforward stylistic match up than MMA fighter vs boxer usually would be. Ngannou is very one dimensional for a champ in the modern era, his game is pretty much boxing with enough defensive wrestling to keep things standing, and Whyte was a decently high level kickboxer who dabbled in MMA before he went to boxing. So yes I agree..kind of. On the other hand I think Ngannou/Whyte in a boxing match would be a rare instance of the MMA fighter having a decent outside shot too.
But like I said, Whyte does not deserve to be getting UFC title shots. He doesnt bring anywhere near the reward (in PPV buys and prestige) that AJ or Fury do. Its like Canelo might entertain the idea of boxing Conor or Khabib but I dont think he'd pay much attention to Tony Ferguson.

Dillian Whyte has spooked him.
Seems like Mixed Martial arts fighters can only pick on fighters who are weight classes below them, or pipe up to boxers with no multi-dimensional combat experience.
