Just had a quick scroll down his boxrec. bar the random african bum, every opponent has been selected, cannot punch.
Vanes - 51% KO ratio. dropped Andrade.
Brian Rose 20% KO ratio
random Argentinian journeyman
Willie Nelson 51%
Culcay - 39%
Atlantez Fox 38% dropped Andrade
Artur Akov - 37%
Sulecki 35%
Keeler 23%
Liam Williams 69% KO ratio.
This is what makes the fight interesting. Andrades best opponent with the highest KO ratio so far is Vanes, who also dropped Andrade and fought him to a SD.
Williams is the biggest puncher he has fought, we are going to learn alot about Andrade and his chin this weekend
probably, hes being matched against no power bums, his manager probably sees him getting dropped in sparring.
I knew khan was getting sparked out again by brooke, you look at his record over the last 10 years and its a pattern by his match makers..... high profile fight, get KTFO, then matched with a few bums who have very low KO ratios, get some wins in, cash out with a big name fight knowing he going to get KTFO again, repeat.
Brook was larger and had a higher KO ratio than anyone he beat in the last 10 years. I knew even broken face shot brook would spark khan out.
Managers/promoters look at this stuff. why hasnt andrande fought anyone with a pulse? his 0 is still valuable thats why, they know he would get KTFO by a mid tier guy that is why they are holding out looking for that cash out fight. They would make a fight with an A level opponent KNOWING their man is getting knocked out but do it for the cash out.

I’ve never really suspected he’s chinny but his resume is that padded it wouldn’t totally surprise me if he is.
Williams is pretty much his first decent opponent in 8 years and whilst I’m picking Andrade by decision, it wouldn’t surprise me if Williams scored the upset. Still so many unanswered questions about Andrade.
I didn't see the fight, but in 6 of the 12 rounds, at least 2 of the judges had Martirosyan winning the round according to this article:

Terrible scorecards are plentiful though. I remember the online reaction was that Andrade won by a wide margin. I definitely had him well up. Something like 116-111.
Still never seen a full fight :lol1: when was his last fight ?

Luke Keeler was Demetrius last WBO title defense, its been over a year ; tha champ is back!
Where they big or flash knockdowns? Two totally different things. Flash knockdowns happen more often to those who have styles like Andrade. I watched The fight with Vanes years ago, but can't remember how big the knockdown was. Though, that you mentioned in being a SD, and no more, maybe suggests a bit of an agenda against Andrade, as it was widely considered to be a very poor scorecard. I recall Andrade winning the fight clearly. By 4/5/6/7 points.

Vanes can punch though. Why do you think Lara and Mell fought off the back foot the whole time? Why do you think Vanes hurt GGG worse than any opponent ever hurt him?
I used to think Boo would unify 154, i think i made threads like 5 years ago + saying andrade and williams would be the kings at LMW. Boo boo let me down. And Williams to a certain extent, although that Hurd upset was fantastic.
Boo boo going to be doing that dance in your sig mate, only difference is he'll be doing it in the ring after Williams lands a flush overhand right :)

Yo mlac, after Andrade schools Liam Williams, you are going to regret this thread. Earlier this week, I saw 'Beefy' Smith put hands on Liam Williams and made him quit '' I cant see. ''. Now I know you are going to tell me that the cut was too severe for the action to continue, but I know what I saw ; Liam Williams was trying to get his corner to stop the fight. Dont be surprise if Demetrius makes Liam Williams to say 'No Mas'.

Im definitely not seeing an elite fighter. He hides a lot of his flaws by his athleticism and weak opposition. Sulecki is the only one recently who was at a fringe contender level, but Suleckis straight punch midrange style was tailor made for a guy like Andrade.
The only other decent opponents he fought were Culcay and Martirosyan, decent fighters, but lack certain things to beat world class fighters and both ended in SDs.
Andrades offense is pretty garbage, he cant punch on the frontfoot without being off-balance most of the time. He telegraphs his left hand big time. I just think another fighter who can keep up with his speed and is technically more compact can beat him to the punch.
Im not sure if Williams is the one though, he is pretty straightforward, but certainly gives Andrade the biggest offensive threat so far. Fox isnt the most elusive guy and he is awkwardly tall, but Williams showed that he can anticipate upper body movement and change trajectory of his punches. Thats a good thing to have vs Andrade.
Dont have a grasp yet on Williams footspeed, needs to have at least decent footspeed to catch up to Andrade.

mlac, the timing of this thread with the recent upload of this video, leads me to suspect that you might have something to do with this. I never thought you would stoop so low, making hate threads now? Listen, 2 can play at this game ; I have already filled out my score-card : 120-108 for Demetrius 'Boo-Boo-School a Euro' Andrade, DEAL WITH IT.
