I am OK with Canelo`s career but his match making is a little weird

Canelo's cherry picking just like Floyd use to do, that's why. Both Benavidez and Plant are bums, he should be fighting one of the Charla sistas.

I mean you have 4 unbeaten Americans, 3 of them are world champions at 160 or 168, but Canelo is fighting some British guys nobody in America knows? Isn`t that strange? David Benavidez and Plant should be next in Canelo`s plans. canelo no longer fights at 160.. he fought there 3 times only jacobs and gggx2, those being ranked higher at the time

It makes sense. Saunders is unknown in the US but you add the British fans to watch the fight. Good business decision to fight stars from another country. Plant is becoming popular and might be next if he beats Saunders.

It makes sense really. Canelo is campaigning at 168 now. Andrade and Charlo's belts are held at 160. Benavidez doesn't hold a belt at all. That leaves Saunders and Plant as the best fights available. Saunders first, and Plant second most likely generates more money than Plant first and Saunders second. It also helps that Canelo has an existing working relationship with Saunders' promoter, Matchroom.
