Lampley came out recently and said that the only fighter below 160 pounds that can compete with him is Spence, so he believes Crawford washes Charlo. How do you see that fight going?
Favor crawford in this fight then again my opinions for the charlo brothers are not good especially the 1 at middleweight who dodges countless fights , talks shhh all day, looks like andrade but verbal. Atleast andrade doesnt get offers, charlo gets offers turns them down, calls people out they call him back out then he dodges them. Did it to jacobs backstage jacobs heard him walked back to him charlo bit.. Up silent benevidez similar minus the ball up face to face. Charlo at junior middleweight lost to harrison was losing to harrison lost to castano. Bud to high iq for charlo
Spence or Porter would look better at 154. They are naturally bigger guys. Porter was a middleweight as an amateur.
But if Crawford wins the title at 154, that would be something like Duran winning 154 and 160 titles.
Crawford without question.
Charlo was outboxed by Tony Harrison twice. He just caught Harrison late the second time.
Harrison isn’t even in Crawford galaxy when it comes to boxing ability.
Charlo wouldnt even win a single round.
Pretty much this
I think size and weight is often overrated especially when you’re competing against the elite. I hate the “he’s going to lean on him all fight” idea. Yeah I know sometimes it’s a bridge too far. When a guy is skilled, has good offence and defence of his own it’s not always easy for the bigger opponent to maximize his size advantage. You have to land punches, you have to have stamina. You basically have to be as good as the other guy and then bigger for it to work out let alone dominate. I pick Bud. I’d be happy to see it, and even proven wrong. Let’s just see some of these guys in some big fights. It’s getting ridiculous.
I honestly hope this fight happens, have your cashapps ready to I'm about to take a lot of y'all's money if it happens believing Crawford overrated ass gonna just jump up to 154 and not only dominate, but beat the at worst second best guy in the division who has enough power to put middleweights to sleep. This gonna be some easy ass money to make. Lmao
This fight is 50/50. I give the edge to Charlo just based on size and seasoning at the division. I'm a Bud fan but Jermell doesn't play around. Crawford can beat Spence at this point. 60/40 fight for me.
They’re seven pounds apart, Charlo is two inches taller and Crawford has a longer reach.
The original eight weight classes existed for a reason. 154 has no reason to exist.
7 pounds apart lol...
This what Charlo sitting next to Spence one of the bigger 147 pounder looks like while both were weeks away from their fights

Lol Im too lazy to go back to find the quote but someone in this thread said Castano is a more technical boxer than Jermell Charlo. People don't even get embarrassed of their lack of intelligence nowadays to attempt to try and hide it.
These are the fights Crawford should be taking. Well Spence, and Pac or Porter I'd be happy with first, then move up a division, he's big enough. As good as Crawford is, he hasn't fought any of the top 5 guys in his division. Whereas look at Tyson Fury, he beat the best of the last era, in Wlad then of the next best two of his era he has faced Wilder twice, and is down to face Joshua twice.
People ramble on about title defences. Title defences mean nothing if the opponent is just there to pick up a paycheck. I never get the title defence argument. Everyone knows who the best guys in the divisions are, a title contender plucked from a top 15 of an ORG might be garbage.
Ricky Burns won titles four divisions, had multiple defences, but never had one great win.

Let me guess you also think Bud can beat Canelo at 168 too? You're entitled to your opinion even if it is a terrible one lol
I think it’s totally fair to question whether Crawford could stand up to Charlo’s power. I just think he would because he hasn’t been knocked down in his career. I know everyone likes to make up a knockdown but it didn’t happen. I also think Charlo just wouldn’t touch Crawford for 12 rounds because he isn’t good enough to touch him.
If Crawford had Mayweather type of defense I think that would be true...But that's not the case. Crawford gets touched up every fight. His fight against broken down Brook lasted only like 3.5 rounds and Crawford's face had quite a bit of damage. Benavidez has shown very little in his pro career and still touched him up in the early going....Though he does have fast hands. Mean Machine is not very good and fought Robinson to a draw....Who got obliterated by Ugas and yet he touched up Crawford himself and if you don't think he dropped him, he certainly hurt him.
Crawford's big advantage every fight is his ability to adjust and then how strong of a will he has....Don't think he has the latter advantage vs Charlo and I definitely think he gets touched up. It comes down to his chin and if it can hold up. If he can, he can win a decision but it certainly won't be easy. If his chin can't hold up, then obviously he gets hurt and stopped.
Let’s not forget that Austin Trout got a draw on one card against Charlo despite going down twice and that John Jackson won every round against Charlo before the KO. Vanes Martirosyan and Demetrius Hopkins were also dead even fights.
So he’s clearly going to get wiped by Crawford in terms of boxing ability.
I mean to counter that, you can say Crawford got dropped by Mean Machine and stunned by Gamboa who aren't as big punchers as Charlo. So would his chin hold up?
I think this is a very fascinating match up. Don't see either fighter dominating, but that Trout score was complete BS. While Charlo was way too KO happy that fight, no way in hell should that fight have been scored a draw. But he can definitely lose rounds like he usually does. His mental fortitude and stamina are top notch though, dangerous until the final bell.
Very underrated fight/performance against Rosario.
