Anyone else here give povetkin the first 3 rounds?
The commentators made me sick when I watched it back again, povetkin was landing decent shots and the only acknowledgement of povetkin doing anything was when he missed some punches
They were saying whyte looked amazing he looked like ass until the knockdowns and he looked uncomfortable after a couple shots from povetkin in there
Am I missing something please give me some of your input
I watched the first fight on mute, I muted it after awhile.
The fight was competitive all the way, maybe Whyte slightly doing the better work. But there was moments where Povetkin in general just looked like the better fighter, with his Jab and body punches 'He was being creative'.
If Povetkin can get in the condition he was last time, I think he could be the better fighter over the distance 'Whyte's endurance has not been on point for awhile'.
He stated that he was being patient vs Chisora II, I just don't think he could compete with Chisora's pace in that fight.
This is not a easy fight for Whyte, and if he beats Povetkin he deserves big credit 'Only Anthony Joshua & Wladimir Kiltschko have beaten Povetkin'.
So if Povetkin has duplicated his condition from the first fight, the longer this fight goes 'The more dangerous the fight becomes for Whyte.
I gave Povetkin the rounds that he didn't get knocked down in. I'm fairly sure that made it even going into the KO round. I rarely pay attention to the commentary.
It was a competitive fight. Sky commentary are just cheerleaders.
think I gave round 1 to Povetkin. 2 and 3 could’ve gone either way.
Due to Whyte’s diabolical footwork, Povetkin was always able to get into the range he likes to be and land short punches. He was always in the position where he scored the knockout but landing body shots, until he brought one upstairs. All of his good work was being ignored by the commentators all fight
I don’t understand why many people seem to confident Whyte wins the rematch. He can, but I don’t believe he has the feet to stop Povetkin getting into his preferred range, then from there, the same thing can happen.
The only reason I think it’s basically a 50-50 fight is because I think Povetkin’s punch resistance is fading all the time now he’s 41.
I think the main reason is that Povetkin was seriously ill in hospital with covid a couple of months ago :lol1:
