It's always been the same no matter the class, except they've changed the weights......... Rockin':boxing:
No it was different. The weights were separated from open divisions. Novice and open used to have distinct different weight classes. Now the weights are all the same, regardless of novice or open. I think this change happened 3 or 4 years ago.
Nonsense. They have masters divisions.
I’ve watched guys in their 50’s put the gloves on.
Very true, but I'd have to drive down to Michigan for that. Outside of Quebec (different province) boxing is beyond dead in Canada.
naw, too old for that now. I'm in my mid thirties and been inactive for about a decade. Broke my hand in three places trying to brace myself slipping on some ice. That was it for me lol.

Divisions are different in the amateurs.
Light Flyweight: up to 106 pounds
Flyweight: 112
Bantamweight: 119
Featherweight: 125
Lightweight: 132
Light Welterweight: 141
Welterweight: 152
Middleweight: 165
Light Heavyweight: 178
Heavyweight: 201
Super Heavyweight: over 201
They used to have separate weights for novice and senior novice. Like I knew they had a 147, 156 weights. But now they’re all the same weights for open and for novice, senior novice, and masters.
Lmao it's still in you.....
When I'm waiting on my food to heat up, I throw a couple combos.
Slip one or two times outta nowhere.
You know-how it be 🤣🤣🤣
My family think im crazy randomly thowing shots everywhere🤣🤣🤣
:lol1: I consider becoming an opponent from time to time. If you go into it you got one right here just hit me up.
I'm not very good or very fit so no need for a fix, if you're worth a **** you'll win and if you don't you should look to do something else.
168 5'8" I'm not fat and have a bit of muscle but this is my young man body still, my 30s body ain't kicked in yet. What I mean is my shape is deceptive, my cardio is ****, and I could still go up or down to meet a dude and give him a good debut fight. ****ing fearless though, Idgaf if you're 7 foot and 300 pound, I'll put on 40lbs of fat and come get at ya. :lol1:
Thats the spirit:fing02::fing02:
I won. Its a crazy story bro. I was just training for a year or two. I was in high school still. I was the smallest guy at my gym. Mostly heavyweights and light heavies. We fought every other day if we won. I fought tuesday, thursday, and saturday night. Jaidon Codrington who you may know was on the contender tv show was fighting a weight class above me. Enrique Palau was there rip and Jason big six estrada. I got an invite to the junior olympics but due to personal stuff i could not go.
Thats an achievement in itself bro dw about olympics
Hell, my "dance" at the club would be me just doing a damn philly shell with a bit of a weave haha
Lmao..... I feel u. I might be looking like I'm dancing but if you check my feet I'm just doing boxing footwork

Lmfao never said I didn't do those things. I'll shadow box if I see myself in the mirror at a certain angle :lol1:

Considered giving it a spin for a moment, but figured since I started out relatively late (in my 20s), being a natural fatso (I mean heavyweight) and relatively short given the current trends as far as height goes I'd have to be really damn good to compete at any sensible level, I kinda decided to treat it more as a hobby. Still, slugging it out a bit every now and again is good fun.
U don't train nomore? Hit the bag? Randomly shadowbox?
If u stopped doing those things... It definitely ain't in you nomore lol

I'm always interested in some sparring once the borders open and I get back down to the 180's lol
How did you do in the golden gloves bro
