I think the fact that both the 'Bronze-Bomber' Deontay Wilder and Bogdan Dinu were fouled into stoppages against the Gypsy-Bum Tyson Phooey and Kubrat Pulev, justifies the issuance of another interim HW title. What wonderful news, Deontay Wilder is soon to become 2x HW champion of the world!
Now, I know that some of A.J's fans and the 'Fury-Faithful' are going to be upset about this, considering there will be THREE interim champions around the same time that Joshua and Fury fight for a suppose 'Undisputed' championship, but hey you can blame Tyson for ducking Deontay Wilder.
The white man beat the black man
youmad?
Put your money on him to beat Fury, easily.
The sole blip in his career is getting tagged while trying to finish a guy off. Obviously he was in deep water against Wlad but came through and finished him off.
Do you believe Fury is as great defensively as he's made out to be? I don't. Been dropped by nobodies and hit by everybody. It's a myth. He is getting battered when and if he actually fights AJ, which I won't believe till I see them climb both through the ropes.
I'm torn on this fight tbh plenty of users here seem to favor fury massively but I think its a toss up. I slightly favor tyson because of his overall craftiness, toughness and ability to frustrate opponents both in the ring and before the fight even starts with his mouth. But aj is an under-rated boxer with big power. They each have vulnerabilities but have both proven that they can overcome them and prove their doubters wrong. I'm not british but its a shame that this probably won't take place on British soil. Would be a massive event if it does go through.
Who does Wilder think he is, Golovkin? Lol!
Triple W, WWW. (double-u, triple-u har-har)
oh lord, Golovkin had G-string, but W-string doesn't work does it? what about Triple tWWWerk?
If the fight takes place, it would be for the interim WBA world heavyweight championship.
FOH, #1 thats a garbage fight, #2 Dinu been kod plenty of times already. #3 Wilder dont deserve to even smell a belt at this point since bejng embarassed by Fury, twice.
It sure looked like he was hesitant to continue. Saying he "just got clipped" and didn't get beaten up is delusional and understating what happened in the fight.
Doesn't matter anyways. He corrected his mistakes, dominated the rematch and is in line for a massive fight now. Great for him

I guess that's vacant now that Bryan is the "regular" champion.
Dinu is the perfect opponent he can't punch out of a wet paper bag and has gas tank issues.
Wilder's chin won't be exposed again and if he is made to look foolish early with his bar room swings he should connect and the Romanian will be counting sheep at some point.
You nailed it. Come on Wilder, fight someone on the top 30 Not Dinu who's going to be 35 and is currently ranked #92 at box rec
Dinu opponents have been terrible, aside from Miller and Pulev who Ko'd him easily a few years ago.
See, you're doing it again.
Quit? That's stupid to state that he quit. When you quit you don't get dropped 4 times. Duh.

Getting dropped multiple times and quitting is a bit more than just getting "clipped by a punch". But like I said, fair play to him he took on the immediate rematch and boxed a smart fight and won. Which is more than can be said about Wilder.

https://www.wbaboxing.com/wba-ranking
I'm on my phone right now and ain't really got the time to go digging back and cross referencing between boxrec and the WBA historical rankings to see if there's any logic behind it, but that's how you can find out. I've done it for plenty of other fighters. WBA let's you specify rankings by month and year so you can kinda backtrack.
If you want to do the same with the WBC I use Wayback Machine or similar.
Koba, good heads up on Wayback Machine.
