Its amazing to me how even in defeat Loma is still so overhyped by the public it seems. He is a -161 favorite over Teo,Teos a -221 favorite over Haney.
teos a -125 fav over Tank,& Lomas also a -149 fav over Tank.(that surprised me because Lomas Kryptonite is Power imo.)Even though Odds are based on public perception of outcome not probability, they're both taken into consideration when oddsmakers make the line. It amazes me that Loma is favored over Teo more than Pac is favored over Garcia(Pac @ - 150 should be the easiest money you ever make if you bet on him. I might lay 25k on Pac(I'll post a screenshot if I do)
What do you think? Is Loma worthy of being rated as being a -161 fav over Teo? Should Loma move down to 130?
Its also amazing that Fury is a -175 fav over AJ. AJ is only a -200 fav over Usyk
Only on boxingscene can you chase a fighter, pressure them into fighting you. You intimidate him so badly they remove the rematch clause & scare him stiff into not throwing a punch for 7 straight rounds, beat him and almost knock him smooth out in the final round to put an exclamation point on it then get accused of being afraid.
Loma is only fronting, its what he is a frontrunner. If he really wanted a rematch he'd have not took the clause out of the contract.
Teo, why are you so afraid?
Come on if anyone is afraid its the guy Teo spent months & months chasing. The one that was too afraid to throw a punch for 7 rounds until Lopez started too tire.
This is ridiculous how can you accuse Teo of being the scared one, Loma didn't throw a punch for 7 full rounds through fear of getting ktfo. It was one of the most cowardly displays I can recall from a top fighter.
Didnt reall all of the replies, but a general rule of thumb is whoever wins the second half of the fight in the first fight, generally does better in the rematch.
Lomachenko is vulnerable at 135. Cant just tank punches from full fledge lightweights and was hesitant early on. With the rounds he got against Teo now, he should feel more comfortable to take risks.
Teofimos power is still an equalizer though.
I think you need to go watch the fight with un-biased eyes.
There is a reason why Teo doesn't want a rematch.
He doesn't deserve a rematch.
Nobody wants to see him too scared to throw a punch again for 7 rounds.
I can post the other rounds, or you can look them up yourself.
But there's no point. Lopez gets beat pillar to post while stumbling around eating clean shots as the announcers are screaming "Lomachenko is looking for a knockout", but to you it's a close round.
This argument is going nowhere. Go and watch the fight, and you'll understand why Loma is a favorite over Teo in a rematch.
That's their job. He wasn't even throwing punches when he said it lol
About 4 seconds later he threw a faint, Lopez parried a left cross controlled Loma's right hand as Loma squared up, spun out then landed a right to the body which got a reactionand won the last 70 seconds of the round.
Loma won 4 rounds this was his best by far and it was anything but dominant.
There was no dominating he won maybe 4 pretty close rounds after Lopez tired after dominating the first 7 rounds.
Almost stopped him? The only one that almost got stopped was Loma in the 12th round until some atrocious refereeing came to the rescue & bought him time.

Why can you only post one? You claim I have an agenda but your argument for this is posting a mere one round that supposedly is dominant? There was eleven others.
Is it because the others that Loma won were exactly as I said, pretty close rounds?
Even with that said & this being Lomas best round of the fight still Lopez was catching him in the exchanges, hurt him to the body & finished the round stronger & I'd argue landing the best shots of the round.

Here's a "pretty close round" for your viewing pleasure.

I have no idea what your agenda is, nor do I care. But at least watch the fight you're commenting on.

If this was true, how do you explain the 2nd half of the fight where he dominated Lopez and almost stopped him?

Not only was he hesitant Lopez didn't just stand there baffled, mesmerised by the feints to set up his rather predictable turns & sidesteps. He took Loma's angles away from him making him look rather ordinary and slower.
If there was a reason he looked slow its because Lopez didn't let him do what everyone else has let him do.

Timing and reflexes, reaction timing will go long before speed.
And while speedy I wouldn't say speed was one of his best attributes.
If you are fast you're fast just like a puncher they're just born that way. Even a retired sprinter well into his forties will be lightening quick & the decrease will be rather minimal from their peak.
RJJ was still lightening fast well in his forties even when out of shape he had blinding handspeed.
I can not recall one fighter in history whose speed suddenly declined at the age of 32. Maybe Lopez just made him look slower or his timing was out a bit from inactivity.
Are you actually incapable of posting without silly name calling? Not that I care about online insult attempts or what someone calls me on or off online but its likely why you're in red and will inevitably end up banned at some point only to have to make what is probably your 7th account of the year already.
Unfortunately u dont know what your talking about.
Sorry if the word “dumb” offended your delicate nature. Perhaps boxing is a little to intense for u. Try taking up golf or badminton. Lol.

Just cause no one mentioned it. Dont change the facts. He’s a hyper dude. Who uses speed to beat people. First thing to go is speed. Ask ROY JONES JR.
Your so typical of people that need to be fed information. Can never come up with it yourself. Dumb kids.

Its just fitting nobody mentioned his age or mileage or anything of the sort before Lopez beat him.
You guys were calling for him to fight Manny Pacquaio LOL and claiming he was the damn goat and all sorts of wacky cr4p.
''Best footwork in boxing history''
''He'd beat a lightweight Floyd Mayweather'' then as soon as he stops fighting guys half his size he begins looking normal. Guys who frankly aren't close to being world beaters. Finally he fights someone who isn't a Pedraza, Linares, Campbell - A fighter that losses every single time he steps up and he gets whooped. Now apparently he's an old man!
How convenient the moment he losses he is suddenly shot. Just like GGG when he stopped fighting cans and looked human.
He might have mileage what fighter doesn't?

Let's not pursue the bolded part above. Loma didn't give away crap. I see many Loma fans say this. That's a complete BS. This is how I explain it:
Lopez wasn't there to see if he can compete with the great Loma, like the previous Loma opponents did, he was there to impose his will. He won.
Let's go beyond the denial stage.
Bruh, he didn't throw any punches for the first six rounds. Lopez's will isn't THAT strong.
It doesn't surprise me. Lopez deserved the win but Lomachenko basically gave the fight away.
I would favour Loma in a rematch, or against any other top 135lber. I still think he's the best in the division, he just underperformed and (rightfully) lost his spot as the current number one.

I hear your side well. I'm one of the guys who called Loma worn out well before the Lopez fight. The guy had almost 400 amateur bouts. That can't be good on the body, even if you are a defensive wiz.
I personally don't think much of Lopez, boxing wise, but he scared Loma that night. Lopez wasn't there to see if he can compete with the great Loma, like the previous Loma opponents did, he was there to impose his will. He won. That loss will haunt Loma forever, especially after being put on a pedestal.
I think he considered retirement. Maybe he still has two good fights in him.
