21 mins in hes talking about how Thurman is not a draw & how he expects Arum to pay him outta pocket even though Top Rank would be losing tons of money because Thurman thinks he deserves a certain amount even though he doesn't bring in revenue.
At around 14 mins in hes talking about Teo & everything with him.
In the beginning of the vid Arum goes into his usual leftist bs
Thurman isn't a draw, but neither is Crawford. Thurman needs to understand that the money just isn't there to pay each fighter what they are demanding. Porter doesn't seem to understand this either. At this point, Porter should take the $1M to fight Bud, he's not going to earn a bigger payday anywhere else.
He is right that Thurman does not deserve a title shot coming strait off a clear loss. But then both Khan and Brook deserved a title shot even less than Thurman does now. I don't think Thurman is cashing out. He wants to be well paid as all prize fighters do. Crawford fighting Thurman would not be a bad fight. Thurman would be the best welterweight Crawford has fought to date. Arum should pay more and Thurman should ask for less and they could meet in the middle and do the fight. Meanwhile Thurman has had over a year to try to beat a top 10 guy and strengthen his position as a deserving title challenger. Instead he just sat on his ass waiting for another title shot to be handed to him.
Then those PBC Welterweights just need to move on and stop even wasting time asking for that fight right now. Wait for Bud Crawford Deal to run out in October then try to make those fights because this man is clearly not all that interested in making those other fights
I mean he always said he is only interested in making the Spence Jr fight
Let's be honest about things....if we agree with the premise that financially the fight makes little sense.....it's been the ESPN bud side running their mouths about ducks....Tim Bradley...all the guys on ESPN...bud himself....Bob saying they're targeting porter only to have bud say "that's not on my radar" weeks later
I've always understood why bud isn't fighting the Pbc guys....I've been saying it for quite some time here if you've paid attention......but the Pbc guys mostly have kept quiet ...especially on tv....the top rank ESPN guys are the ones doing calling outs on tv and all that ****...at least from what I've seen
Bud ain't taking no paycut...he knows what those guys really make and part of him staying with top rank was the agreement he'd be getting paid
I don’t even need to listen to him, but I know basic economics. Arum loses money on Bud, he has been losing money on him. He cannot afford to pay him and then pay any high demanding opponents. It’s quite simple, Keef demands are over the top because he wants to cash out. Their fight isn’t going to do great sales on PPV.
It’s not like Keef is a PPV seller, correct me if am wrong but he has only been involved in one PPV fight, and that’s in his last fight. So how are they going to generate what he want for a Bud fight? Not only that but he hasn’t had a significant win since 2017. Last fought like 18 months ago. This is a cash out when you see one.
There's gotta be a reason why Thurman hasn't fought in like 10 years. Even Haymon knows his purse demands are ridiculous.
Thurman is by far a bigger star than Crawford. His TV ratings are always phenomenal and he carried the PPV with Pacquiao which sold very well. It’s not even close.
If Thurman could carry a PPV he would've already headlined several of them before Pacquiao, knowing how greedy Haymon is.
1 million is a low ball offer when he paid khan and brook more
He is right though that thurman is a primadonna and thurman is like 1-1 over the last almost 4 years now. People acting like this is the same thurman from 2016.... he hasnt proved chit in years.

This
Even spence has seemed to move on. He knows hes the draw between he and bud, hes fought better fighters and hes more accomplished at 147.
Even if for different reasons, hes seemed to stop talking about crawford altogether like he did with Thurman.

Arum is just internalizing a lot of things he feels about his own fighter and projecting them on Keith.
Sometimes deals don't happen because they just don't make sense for anyone.
Thurman on his own isn't a draw. Crawford isn't a draw. Arum would lose money on Crawford vs. Thurman and he knows it.
But what Arum can afford to pay Thurman is way less than what Thurman makes in PBC. Why should Thurman take less money to cross the street?
If the fight makes no sense for either side, don't make the fight. Time to move on.I would think ESPN aligned with Disney would put up sine decent scratch instead of feeding bud worn out Brits .

Maidana's drawing power came from beating a hype job Broner. Losing to Floyd only made him better in Floyd fan's eyes. Maidana was a solid B level fighter with heart and power. Devon Alexander outclassed him, and Amir Khan outpointed him.
Its undeniable that Maidana is now a household name to even casuals, not because of Broner (who himself has never been a true superstar draw) but mainly because he fought Floyd & lost a debatable decision twice.
Whenever a fighter fights 1 of the biggest draws in boxing, they win lose or draw become much more famous than before,& if they give a good account & lose a very close decision they become much much more famous, look at Wallin vs Fury
(nobody would know he exists if not for Fury fight for example) my point is that Thurman has become a bigger name the min he faced Pac & barely lost,so he would make the Bud fight even bigger now than if he hasn't barely lost to Pac,& before he lost to Pac he was already known enough to sell maybe a few hundred k ppv if he faced another top fighter.
Kool Keef ain't in no position to be demanding large paydays right now. He's been on the shelf for years- coming off to fight Pacquiao then sitting out again. Keith needs to show that he's still got championship level skills.
Maidanas drawing power & name recognition grew tremendously for losing to Floyd. )
What do y'all think?

I personally never agree with Bob but hes making a lot of sense for once except for 1 thing, his fighter is the one whos doing worse than hes accusing Thurman imo. Bud doesn't want a paycut to get a good name on his resume at ww,he doesn't want to accept what hes worth by giving the other guy what he deserves Because of what he offers to the event. (Thurman would be Crawfords biggest fight, his drawing power has only grown by losing to pac just as fighters like Maidanas drawing power & name recognition grew tremendously for losing to Floyd. )
