Pernell is way smaller than Loma, but he fought guys way bigger than him with ease for the most part. Even fought a decent Super Welter in Vasquez. Oscar, Felix, Hurtado, Rivera, and a few others outsized the **** out of Pernell. And he beat them most of the time even when he was WAY past his prime. but apparently mikey garcia is too big for loma. and teo was too big for loma. if loma wants to be an ATG, he has to go up to 147. he has the size for it. Does he have the skill? That is NOT so. Whitaker was an inch shorter, but had a 4 inch reach advantage a huge difference. Also he began as a lightweight and had the frame to go up through the divisions to light-middle, something Lomachenko positively can not do. At lightweight he's already at least one division higher than his best weight. Perhaps you don't recall Pacquiao fighting Margarito, who by then was a light middle being 5'11" tall.. He forced Margarito to go down to 150.So he was drained when Pacquiao gave him such a hammering, although Margarito was as brave as ever a fighter was, and insisted on finishing the fight when badly enough injured that it actually effectively ended his career as a top fighter.. Even though he gave him such a battering, Pacquiao said that he got ONE blow to the ribs so hard, that he would never fight above welterweight again. There are those who can do it, like Whitaker, like Greb, like Tunney but not Lomachenko already past his best weight.

It's like saying somebody's not as good as Michael Jordan as an insult. Loma is still good enough to give almost all of these guys a run for their money. He'll beat Haney in a boring fight, IMO, maybe hurt him, because he punches harder than Haney at 135. Haney still to me looks undeveloped. His punches have no technique. I prefer Shakur. Ryan is not ready. Nakatani would be a tough fight for Loma. I don't acknowledge Lopez until he fights someone good, not talking about Kambosos. So, he's in a pretty good company. I don't care for comparisons much.
