They are not guaranteed 8m with no PPV. Simple..... They are a business not charity 😭😭😭 You do not need to buy Crawford contract out, this is a mandatory. If the champion cannot stage the fight then the mandatory CAN stage it. If it’s more lucrative from the mandatory side then they can stage it. Hence why Teo Lopez is looking to go to Australia to fight Kambosa as his mandatory, hence why Amir Khan had to defend his belts in DC against Lamont Pederson. So yes you can make it make sense for your boxer. Porter has a powerful man backing him, he can bring that fight to PBC, Crawford doesn’t have a good relationship with Arum, he is willing to allow Crawford to fight anywhere as getting fights for him is difficult, with having to pay over the odds for both Bud and his potential opponents. So this is a great opportunity for the other side to get that belt off Bud, stage the fight on your side as a mandatory. Not sure where a rule book says only the champion can stage a mandatory fight. I mean I guess it is possible he did, but he claims to never have done so. Porter isn't take 25% of the purse. That is silly. While you say he can just enforce his mandatory, he can do that but why? Why can't they just give him a good offer for the fight? Don't give 5M to Khan and 2M to Brook and then say Porter should only get 1-2M.
