As crazy as this sounds, I actually think this may be possible? Depends on who Pacquiao wants to fight next and how long he wants to fight. Garcia is a big boy and can get to 147 if need be.
I think he said he thinks Haney beats Lopez but I couldn't really hear that part.
If the embed doesn't work, go around the 19 minute mark.
Why in hell would Pacquiao fight a big mouth lightweight????? Pacquiao is fighting for glory and there is no glory in betting up a kid who has done so little. Garcia needs to beat a Porter or a Thurman and then ask for a fight with Pacquiao. Right now there are dozens of guys who deserve a shot at Pacquiao before him. Beat a good welterweight first annoying bragger Garcia. Hell Garcia is not even a world champion which is not that hard to be in these days of many world champions in each weight class. Any fighter who brags as much as Garcia should be at least a belt holder.
I don’t like the kid but you can’t knock his ambition.
Unless it's all talk. Davis accepted the fight yesterday. It's Ryan's turn now. I expect him to ***** out.
How long do people expect Pac to be in the game? Lol the man has already been in the game 25+ years (more than Garcia's age himself). From you're saying, this fight isn't even possible till a few more years till Garcia settles into the weight. I just can't see the fight happening with this scenario.
Few years? No, Garcia wants it sometime in 2021. Ultimately the timing likely doesn't work out, even if Garcia is to beat Tank in say April or May.
Pacquiao is running for president soon and if he wins, then his boxing career will be done. This is why he needs to push hard for the McGregor fight and get the most money possible before calling it a career.
A fighter gets dropped and they instantly become chinny bums.
I think people forget he showed great recuperative abilities, and was the first to stop Campbell and did it in dramatic fashion.
There is a reason luke didnt jump all over him when he knocked him down and that was because if he opened himself up he’d be open to getting caught with a counter.
Let’s see if Garcia can improve his defensive technique. I think chin down and some basic head movement will work wonders.
Especially if Reynoso is as good as some people suggest.
and instead it will be Linares, Selby and Machado
Not bad fights for him at all, I still don't see him as a legit champion at 135 and I still think he has a lot to show and to improve on before he fights the top guys at 135 and these fights would be great learning experiences for him and a way to prove that he's a top dog, these are the fights I like the most for young prospects like Ryan Garcia.
Here's how ryan fares against the following:
Loses to Tank by 2nd rd KO
Loses to Teo by 6th-8th rd KO
Loses to Loma 9th rd TKO
Loses to Haney by 11th rd TKO
Loses to Stevenson 12-0 shutout
Loses to Pacman 3rd rd TKO.
Going off of his last fight
Haney isn't stoping anyone. He will have a career of boring UD's unless he fights some cans to boost the KO%...
No, Garcia would go up to 147 for that fight. He's going to be at 140 sooner than later anyways. He's a big boy gaining his man strength right now.

Don't be too sure about that. If he beats Tank and does it in spectacular fashion, he's going to be insanely big. And if Pacquiao goes the McGregor route? Then a fight with Pacquiao is not out of the realm of possibility.
...Its NEVER happening...EVER!
Pacquiao fight never happening but replace Pacquiao with Teofimo Lopez and that is a great list!

Wouldn't Pac have to drop two weight classes for this to happen? Not sure if that one is realistic

Like how he took 11 rounds to knock out a one legged Gamboa?
Styles make fights man.
Ryan struggled with Carlos Morales.
It’s irrelevant.
Tank as in terrible shape against Gamboa too. I imagine he’d take a mega fight with Garcia far more serious.
Like how he took 11 rounds to knock out a one legged Gamboa?
Ryan literally steps inside against southpaws lol, which resulted in him getting brutally dropped in round 2 by Luke Campbell, who I am sure does not hit nearly as hard as Tank, who, as some coaches describe, hits like a heavyweight.
Tank ices him easily IMO. Just a far better fighter.
It’ll be interesting to see how a loss effects his marketability.

He's definitely a go getter. People can laugh at him all they want, but he really will likely get Tank next or at least sometime next year. And if he beats Tank? Don't count out the Pacquiao fight, especially if Pacquiao fights McGregor instead of Spence.
