Why is Duran ranked higher than Leonard by most?

I like Duran and dislike Ray but I don’t see one as greater than the other. Both were great.

Mostly because he was a lot smaller than the other four kings. I’d probably rank Leonard higher myself though to be honest.

Probably because he is usually thought of as the best lightweight in history by many because of his time as lightweight champion. Leonard never had such a title reign. he beat Leonard in the first fight as the smaller man and he stayed good to a mjuch older age than Leonard.

Both are ranked high but it seems most historians and P4P lists have Roberto Duran ranked not only higher, but significantly higher than Ray Leonard. Why is this? It’s actually easy. Started at 135. Over 115 fights Won over a 100 Became MW champ Lots of his losses IE Paz and Camacho R.I.P should’ve been wins. Skill level.
