Why Would GGG Pick Mungia Over Andrade

i havent heard andrade make any plans to go above 160 yet have you? he still has his 160 strap....so its safer to say yeah he can make weight...and sure hes interested in a golovkin fight....but the a-side has to be interested in order for it to happen yeah jamie is easier to ko...and makes for a more entertaining fight....which is fine....but what happened to the tune golovkin fans were singing years ago about how they want the best to fight the best and all that? and fans, money, business dont matter? Has andrade even shown interest in the fight? Can he even make the weight? Even so he is awkward and not very entertaining. If that alone isn't enough to deter ggg the fan appeal aspect will. Jaime AND golovkin play towards a hispanic audience and both have very entertaining styles. From the sounds of it, this fight is being pushed by DAZN/Golden Boy.

Aside from the obvious, being scared to lose, which we know is the answer. Why would you fight Mungia when you can fight a guy with a belt and then with a win you're only 2 belts away from undisputed, one of those fights against the guy you keep begging for a fight with. GGG and Andrade have the same promoter. They fight on the same network. No excuse for this fight not to happen next. Simple...Andrade can beat GGG...Mungia most likely gets battered down by GGG. Plus, to the uneducated boxing public, beating a young kid means more than beating a 32 yro.

yeah i get that jamie/ggg is a much friendlier fight...and i know im a golovkin hater but arent you interested in seeing andrade vs an elite fighter? i know i am.... whats golovkin doing with that ibf belt and defending it against uncalled for mandos if hes not going to unify with andrade or charlo? golovkin has never really stepped out of his comfort zone when people wanted him to...ie lara or ward...he built his rep, pre canelo, fighting guys they picked because they knew theyd be knock out victims....golovkins always had the easier path and even though i know hes old and on the downside i still want him facing top guys and proving something...because in his biggest fights hes come up short or had debatable wins.....im tired of him getting a pass yeah him vs jamie would be action and all that...its cool...but im more interested in seeing two champs at 160 go out and to see what andrade has vs elite comp...if golovkin can still "fight" like you say than he should be facing a guy like andrade Yeah I would like them to fight for sure but I'm at the point in my enjoyment of watching boxing where I'd rather just see some guys go at it and hopefully one gets dropped and stopped. Watching Andrade dance around the ring for 12 rounds landing pitty pat shots and trying to survive against GGG would be a snooze fest IMO.. but maybe I'm wrong and they go after it and it turns out to be a great scrap. I'll watch either of them of course and I wouldn't be mad at the result either way it went if GGG and Andrade do fight.

You make it sound as if Bud has had all of these great elite opponents in his weight classes all these years the way Canelo and GGG have with Andrade, the Charlos, etc. But, if Bud does duck the Spence match, I will no longer be a fan. I don't think he will. Andrade looks like the goods but has not fought a top fighter yet. Wasted too many years of his life waiting around. He is the unknown risk. They will sell Mungia/GGG better than against Andrade. That is Andrade's fault for not making a case for himself.

Gotta be honest, as a fan of both GGG and Andrade, I'd much rather watch a GGG-Mungia fight.
