I think we will see fights like Ryan Garcia vs Linares and Rollie this year, maybe Devin Haney. Tank, Teofimo, and Stevenson won't be made until they are all at 147.
yeah...agree on the marination part(see my post below yours)...and i always laugh when boxing fans compare their sport to the UFC and complain......if you are somewhat intelligent you know that the business models are not even close to comparible so mentioning and comparing the ufc in regards to boxing is so moot its absurd
Yeah and UFC has a $1.5 BILLION Deal with ESPN to work with while Arum budget with ESPN is much lower
Yeah why can complain all day on a boxing forum but the truth is Marination is and will always be apart of boxing
As for UFC, they have the much better and more loyal Fanbase so this allows them to do what they do as well as far as make fights faster but also do a PPV almost every month or every other month. Boxing fans are extremely Fickle and not as loyal so this is why Marination exist in boxing to build a match up to hopefully reach the attention of Casuals so that A Promotion or Network don't lose money. Boxers also make way more than UFC fighters as well! So Boxing Cards are way more expensive than a UFC Card

yeah...i mean...you kinda expect that they wont...maybe 1 or 2 of those fights get made over the next couple of years....but its not wise business practice in the sport to pit your young lion against another companies young lion when there isnt a ton of money in it....in 4-5 years these guys should all have their names/profiles built to a level that makes co-promoting these fights worth it to their companies.....
as ive mentioned before though...you already see guys calling out tank...because he focused early on building his profile over his resume...and tbh most 26 year olds dont have good resumes anyway...but tank has built himself into the name most of the guys want a piece of because hes headlined a few cards on showtime, worked a floyd ppv, done a ppv of his own and has sold 12k in tix in two cities already.....
Another marination sh.it again. It’s one of the reason why UFC takes over boxing in popularity.
There IS money in there. They’re just divas not fighting each other yet to avoid risks. In a boxers’ brains nowadays, maintaining an ‘0’ is more important than making significant fights. That’s how they think to stay relevant.

I got to agree that they won’t be fighting each other anytime soon. Once they are cornered to fight each other then they will move up to make “history” at 140 against a no hoper with one of a million belts.
Garcia-Tank will be a massive success financially but I think Mayweather’s ego will never make it happen. He won’t want DLH to make $$$, I hate the state of the sport because of personal decisions these managers and promoters make.
Haney to me is just skipping the line and hasn’t shown me anything to believe he can beat any of the top dogs at 135. He wanted to fight Lopez once Lopez won all the belts. Haney should fight Fortuna next and score a KO at least
You might be right but I hope they do fight each other the sooner the better. They all need to do that to get to a higher level except for Lopez who is the proven best at lightweight to most fans by beating Loma. Any boxer wishing to claim best lightweight in the world status must beat Lopez unless he moves to 140.
This is where that super series would come in nicely if the fights could be mandated. Maybe super six with Tank, Haney, Teo, Garcia, Loma, and Shakur
But I think Teo has 1 maybe 2 more fights at 135. I know he's waiting on Taylor-Ramirez though theres a slight chance the winner may jump up to 147.
Haney will continue to be frozen out, he needs to pull a Mosley and jump to 147 or at least go up 140 because he probably wont get anything. Or at least have his promoter actually work in his behalf. He can honestly build him as the most avoided man in boxing just like Bhop when nobody really wanted to fight him.
Garcia is a star in the making like De la Hoya but I wonder if they will protect him and match him carefully or if Oscar will try to cash him out and go for broke with a Tank fight due to his contract most likely being up soon and Canelo-Reynoso lurking.
Tank seems to be so protected and only interested in fighting smaller fighters.
Lopez fought and beat Loma. He's not like the other guys you mentioned. They're the ones who have to prove themselves
Thing is that Lopez won’t be at 35 much longer. I wouldn’t bet in him defending more than a few times. I think he’ll move up once the Ramirez and Taylor situation is settled and go for a big time fight between undisputed champs.
Tank seems content to avoid the big fights and to avoid the division. Although the Garcia night be make able especially now that he’s looked beyond vulnerable.
I think Ryan isnt particularly interested in Haney. Lomachenko is also there and I’d still see him and Lopez as a toss up. Maybe even favor Loma with how he was putting it on him towards the later rounds.
Stevenson is also in range of Tank but that isnt happening.
They will eventually but I think fans are being extremely Naïve to expect those fights to happen right now while most of them are only 22 and 23 years old. I think Tank is the oldest at 26 but the rest...No I don't think they fight right now because it is not really big money in them fighting each other right now
Also with this Pandemic, none of those fights are happening 1st Half of this year without Full Capacity Crowds anyway lets at least attempt to be somewhat REALISTIC!

oh, they'll fight.
Garcia don’t want Haney
Bob won’t risk Teo outside his stable
Floyd won’t risk Tank to any threat at all
Haney.... well, being Haney
Tell us what will make them fight each other right now?
