Aside from Canelo of course.
& that's assuming he were to fight Andrade next.
People say Andrade is high risk low reward which I get but let's not act like GGG wouldn't get paid handsomely for fighting him. OPPONENTS MATTER!
▪Canelo fought Floyd in what was/still is Canelo's biggest ppv to date! Canelo fought Angulo in his next PPV & didn't do remotely close to that.
▪GGG fought Lemieux on PPV in a UNIFICATION & it did less on the buys & the gate than #GGGJacobs (which was essentially a mandatory defense). Why? Because OPPONENTS MATTER.
▪We already know GGG got paid crazy to fight Rolls, $15M (half in Dazn equity) for Sergiy, & probably $7M roughly due to the Pandemic vs Szeremeta.
All of those guys except Sergiy (who I'm not even sure has a fan base) don't have a U.S. profile.
I think GGG can get $10M-$15M in a Pandemic vs Andrade & $20M or $20M+ without the Pandemic. Andrade is willing to take the same amount he'd make vs his mandatory to fight BJS. He'd probably take similar or slighty more for GGG.
#GGGAndrade is bigger than #GGGJacobs imo cause Andrade is roughly as popular as Jacobs was at that time, has never lost, it's a Unification, & he represents just as much risk if not more than Jacobs did at that time. If enough ppl disagree I'll make a thread on which is a bigger fight.
Does Sergiy have a fan base?
Again, reading is fundamental.
Reading. is. fundamental.
I'm not even sure when Plant or even BJS specifically became bigger draws. BJS fights in smaller venues in the UK than Andrade does in the U.S.
Reading is fundamental. The entire point of my thread is not popularity = money. The entire point is if GGG fights Andrade next he'll make the 2nd highest pay day of his career vs any opponent he would have faced. I haven't seen anyone accurately refute that.
Mell
Murata
**Plant
**BJS
Degale 😭😭
**I already spoke about those two.
There's less buzz for Mell vs GGG than GGG vs Andrade. So I don't see it, ppl say Murata is this big draw but he hasn't lured one significant name to Japan yet. 🤔 I don't think I've ever seen any reports on the actual numbers correlating his drawing power.
There was ppl complaining about that & it never happened so it makes no difference, what did happen is Jacobs stock has dropped tremendously. I don't hear or see anywhere, where anybody is talking about him in a significant fight next.
IMO most people on here are not hardcore boxing fans. Andrade has a lot of haters. More fans = more haters I'd like to think, so he doesn't have the most haters out of any boxer. But P4P, I'd say he's easily top 10 most hated fighters in boxing.
Lmao I said Degale but I meant Eubank my bad.
There is just no buzz for Mell and GGG because Mall is there, but the day both Mell decides to move up it changes the landscape of 160 and if he moves up to fight GGG it’d be a really big deal.
Murata hasn’t lured anyone yet, but this is about money. If GGG just wants money, he has a big option there and that fight is less dangerous than Andrade.
The other 68 names I mentioned are big standalone fights because if it’s one of the belt holders, it’s basically got a Canelo fight attached to it with a win.
I don’t think GGG would get paid much more if at all vs Andrade than he would no matter who he fights especially in a pandemic against what’s as close to a no name fighter as you can get within the ranges of Canelo/GGG.
GGG is going to get paid a lot against anyone, but more against the others than with Andrade. Beating Andrade doesnt get him closer to Canelo and as such, it isnt as lucrative short or long term. No one is giving GGG 20 mil for Andrade.
not only does andrade has no fanbase, but he also stinks the joint for the rest of the fans...
that guy is hard to sell
charlo is the fight you want...
Does Sergiy have a fan base?
I don't care one way or the other if they fight. I would definitely enjoy it if the did. However if it happens I don't expect it to be a top earning fight for Golovkin even excluding Canelo. If he wants money go fight Murata in Japan.
Again, reading is fundamental.
ggg vs mungia, charlo, saunders, plant, benividez, etc all generate more money than an andrade fight.
its not personal, its just facts............
Reading. is. fundamental.

It means there is at least 5 men who can make a more lucrative fight for him. Literally the entire point of your thread... popularity = money. There’s probably closer to ten dudes...let’s just throw some names off the top
Mell (54)
Murata (Japan)
Mall
Munguia
Plant at 68
Benavidez at 68
Bjs at 68
Even Degale in the UK would likely be more lucrative or at least the same. And he isn’t even seen as a “top” fighter.
Even a Jacobs rematch is probably the same type of money or more. (Andrade was supposed to fight on the undercard of the trash ass fight between Jacobs and Rosado despite holding a major belt in a hot division with potential for Canelo matchups. That’s VERY recent reference point.)
We are mostly die hard boxing fans here and for about 95% of his career even WE don’t know when or who he’s fighting. You wont find many Andrade haters, I, like many, have always been huge on the guy. it’s just the facts though.

Moderate. Definitely doesn't match his talent. He had a good crowd at Providence, especially being the only time in his career he's fought there but he didn't sell it out. He's more known in Providence than ppl would expect tho.
I'm not speaking in reference to anything other than Andrade being GGG's very next fight.
Even tho this is false, what does it have to do with my thread?
Trust me I know, at one point he was one of my favorite fighters. I have a quote by him that I posted on this forum about, that has since been scrubbed from the site, & it's the most contradictory thing you'd probably ever read by him.
I'm very well aware.
You don't know who I am. I could be exactly what you said, then I could be the exact opposite. But one thing for sure is you definitely don't know.
What's peanuts to you is life changing for another man. So who are you to say what another man will or will not put his life on the line for?
Reading is fundamental.
"Probably" either way I'm speaking if it happens next.
GGG is tailor made for him. You may enjoy it more than you think.

I think he sold out in Providence but I don't know how he fares nationally.
Does he have more fans than the other guys in the division besides Canelo?

Andrade is the least popular top level fighter between 154 and 168.
Even tho this is false, what does it have to do with my thread?
GGG's not who you think he is. After the Dervycnenko fight, Andrade came into the ring, congratulated him ,respectfully asks for the opportunity. GGG you'd think after being avoided by Canelo for years would know the feeling but nope. Still won't give Andrade a fight. Pathetic.

You are not his manager, you are not his promoter, you are not DAZN representative, so what you think he will get or what should be acceptable to him is irrelevant. There is more to what you read in print that goes on behind the scenes before a fight can materialize. If the fight makes business sense, it will happen.
Keep in mind Andrade who has virtually no fan base outside of Providence has made some bonehead decisions that would have put him in an enviable position and contrary to what he says now, if you think he will be fighting these top guys almost for peanuts, then you know nothing.

Don't believe that Andrade vs Golovkin is going to make more money for Golovkin that either of his two fights against Canelo.
Reading is fundamental.
Munguia probably makes him more money. If Golovkin-Andrade happens I will enjoy the fight (or try, lest Andrade spoil all the fun).
"Probably" either way I'm speaking if it happens next.

Let's just hope the fight can get made. If it doesn't, i 'll lose no sleep over it. Almost all of today's fighters are looking for low risk, high reward. That seems to be the norm these days. I for one will like to see GGG-Charlo but we know what we want as fans of the sport doesn't necessarily come to fruition.

He sells in Providence because that area has the largest Cape Verdean population outside of the islands.
