Not downplaying his talent but the best fighter he has fought might be a guy named postol. Just wondering what u guys r basing his status on cause if looking good against bums is the case then let's put Berlanga up on the list 2.
P4P is determined by who you beat and when you beat them, not how you look.
Beating mediocre opposition simply doesn't allow me to put him there. At this point Spence has beaten better fighters than him.
Floyd took dozens of risky fights in his career, including your boy. He had no need to go up and fight the guy who had just unified at 154, but he did, and you'll never se your boy take a risk like that. Floyd took him to school, he's made no improvements since then, and it just is a reminder every day that there's levels to t his game and that no matter how you slice and dice it, nobody is at the level of TBE today. You cn try all you want to make Canelo this big superstar, but just remember that was the easiest fight of TBE's life.
Ggg was still expected to stop canelo stop you’re blatant ass lying and Kova was also considered by many here too to be too big for canelo FACTS.
But I’ll play your dumbass game when’s the last time Floyd faced someone the “media” said was a monster and would beat him??????
Manny just gtfo by Marquez that’s the only reason why Floyd faced him!!!!!
See all the bs you come with I can give it right back I can do that all day with Floyd
lmao if he didn't stop Danny Jacobs, who Got KOd by pirog, how was he a threat to stop Connello? Kovalev get out he was a +500 underdog lmao.
Why doesn't Porter force the issue with the WBO and force Crawford to fight or vacate?
Come to think of it, why didn't Danny Garcia when he was in position?
because danny wasnt interested....well, haymon, wasnt interested for him...they had other plans which you just saw recently
porter and bud are friends...so if bud doesnt want to fight porter hes not going to force it or embarrass him....but the reality is what i posted....bob was saying porters name leading up to the mean machine fight...how they were targeting him......kenny said "call us" and basically alluded that they had haymons blessing to make it and bud went on about his "radar" and how porter wasnt on it.....thats just reality
bob and bud arent stupid...they know whats going on....they shout the names of the pbc fighters thinking most of them wont talk back or have other plans(haymon calls the shots and he has plans to match them against each other)...bob and bud love using this to their advantage and they might as well......the pbc WWs have plenty of options at home inhouse and have never needed bud....eventually spence WILL need bud....and the time is coming closer...not quite there yet i dont think...but very close.....and when he does the fight will get made.....till then bud and bob know exactly whats going on(because bob would act the same way if the roles reversed) and they play it up to the public
There's a certain demographic on here who can't stand that these white boys are running boxing right now.
Canelo is leaps and bounds #1 ahead of anybody.
#2 we have Teofimo who just got done beating the previous #1.
#3 we have Fury who beat the 10+ year reigning heavy weight champion Klitschko. And BODIED Wilder, the guy the certain demographic was hyping to the moon and back.
Somewhere around number 5 we realistically have Crawford behind Inoue. But after Mayweather retired and Broner didn't pan out to what the certain demographic predicted, all that's left is Crawford. And at this point they're just grasping at straws.
Fans and journalists always hype fighters who are running through mediocre to above average fighters, and try to put down the actual top fighters who are taking tough fights and not looking as good. What this message sends is for boxers to pick their opponents carefully, that way they get rewarded with high rankings and therefore more fame and money. Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo and Ward in recent years are some of the only fighters who were deservedly #1.
Same with Naoya Inoue and Oleksandr Usyk.
Same with Josh Taylor.
For example, GGG is #10, why? What did he do to drop down and be below Taylor, Inoue, Usyak and Crawford? He looked less than stellar vs Jacobs, Canelo and Derevyanchenko. So what that tells fighters like GGG is to just fight the Szeremeta's of the world. Because if he fights top guys and doesn't look invincible, he goes down.
Inoue looked okay against a game but past prime Donaire and was placed at #2. Crawford's last good win was Postol. Usyk just looked like crap vs a guy who is past prime and had 9 losses, 3 by KO. Josh Taylor's best wins are Postol and Prograis. Neither of these fighters have a better resume than GGG. But GGG got penalized for fighting the best and not winning every round.
Also what is Inoue doing in front of Estrada? Estrada's resume is far better. His 41-3 record was vs the best around his weight class. He also avenged 2 of those 3 losses and has a chance to avenge all 3 when he fights Gonzalez next. Estrada is also the Ring champion of a tougher weight class and tougher road to that title.
Fans and journalists want to complain about fighters cherrypicking or not fighting the best, then reward new fighters with praise and high rankings for being good vs mediocre competition and penalize experienced pros for taking on the best and not winning by KO.
Let me pick on Inoue again because it's just ridiculous: Lopez has wins over Lomachenko, Commey and Nakatani, which is better than an old past prime Donaire, Payano and an old and small Narvaez (Inoue's best wins). Not saying Lopez should be #2, just saying Inoue should not be above active fighters who have better resumes than him.
Or better yet, when is the last time Canelo has ever fought anyone where the media/general public said "that guy is a beast, he'll destroy Canelo." And don't tell me GGG, after he lost to Jacobs everyone was signing a different tune.
Wrong!!!!! “Ice man” that bum is the best you got hahahahaha
Guys like Crawford and garbage like Floyd are what’s ruining boxing with there ghay ass exhibitions with Japanese boys and youtubers while a 34 yr old Crawford stays fighting nothing but bums.
Thankfully boxing has canelo if not it would be in a huge ****tthole right now. FACTS!!!!!!
The ice man was coming off of a dominating win against a legit opponent. Name just one recent Canelo opponent who Canelo can say the same for. I'll wait...
I dont get all technical with this P4P sht. I just do eyeball test and Crawford, Inoue are the two best fighters right now.
I dont put Canelo over somebody like Inoue gtfo lol
And Crawford is too multi-dimensional to be ranked anywhere below 2...
hahahahaa
Yea right Danny Garcia is lazy bum who always lost when he stepped it up.
And when the hell did Crawford face Danny Garcia?????? Hahahhaha
And alotta people thought DLH beat Floyd.
And as much as you hate it Canelo beat ggg In the rematch that’s a fact.
Danny ducked the iceman, that's a fact.
I could care less who wins vs Canelo vs. GGG, as far as I'm concerned those 2 are ruining the sport of boxing. Either way, GGG was not an A level fighter. The one time he stepped it up was against Danny Jacobs, a B+ level fighter at best, the same guy who got brutally KOd by Pirog, same guy who went life and death with ishe smith and sulecki - GGG still couldn't even beat him (Danny got robbed in that fight. And it was only then that Canelo finally decided to fight him cuz Canelo only fights guys after they look beatable
Kovalev and Jacobs are far less impressive wins than a dominating performance over the Iceman, who Danny Garcia shamelessly ducked and who dominated Matthyse in a way nobody ever had in his fight just before the fight with Bud. Kovalev had only 2 months rest where he almost got KOd by a journeyman in his fight before.
Canelo gave ggg a rematch what are you talking about and beat him
So???
He didn't beat him convincingly like Ward did when he rematched Kovalev or when Floyd rematched Castillo. You can say he whooped them all you want, but like 95% of the boxing media scored that fight a draw or for GGG, and even the people who had it for Canelo had it 7-5 or 8-4, plus Canelo still got outlander in that fight. That's not a whooping that's a close win, Mayweather Castillo 2 is, where Floyd outlands the guy like 300-100.
And plenty of fans scored DLH over Floyd and Castillo over Floyd but nothing chganged them form saying Floyd “whooped” them
The difference is Floyd gave Castillo the rematch. Canelo fought Kirkland and Fielding instead.
When you say stuff like canelo "whooped GGG's ass" or his fight with Lara was a "clear win," it's just proof you're biased. Not a single unbiased boxing fan would say that. If you scored those fights for Canelo fine, no problems with that. But plenty of fans scored those fights for GGG and Lara.
Yeah if Terence ends up dominating or giving out lessons to very good/great fighters, then he deserves the top spot
That’s what Mayweather did. manny did also when he destroyed Hatton and Cotto
Right. Thing is nobody in the sport has done that today. I think Bud is #1. The PED thing is a big part of it, if you ignore the PEDs, the argument for Canelo gets better. But even then I still think Bud is #1. You're entitled to your opinion that Canelo is #1 though. But if Bud beats EJ convincingly, you can't argue anymore that Bud isn't #1.
The only way for Canelo to one up that would be if Bivol and Beterbiev fought and then Canelo dominates the winner.
Terence has a case if he convincingly whoops Errol and manny
I'm fine with your opinion that that Canelo is #1 p4p, I'm just giving you my reasons why I think Bud is 1. But if Bud convincing whoops Errol, it's indisputable at that point that Bud is #1 p4p. You can't even argue not.
Bud isn't even top 3 or the top guy in his division.
1 Canelo
2 Fury
3 Spence
4 Inoue
5 Crawford
You just outed yourself as a damn casual saying that Bud isn't top 3 at 147. GTFO.
Lol
Name me one A level fighter that Crawford has beaten?
Cmon let’s “spit facts”
Crawford is damn near 34 yrs old and still on his bum of the month campaign. How you like those FACTS!!!
Same number of A level fighters that Canelo has convincingly beaten - ZERO
