Canelo vs Andre Ward (prime) at 168

Ward to big plain and simple, Nelo really needs to go down in weight

I was impressed by Canelo, he seems to be still improving, which I didn’t think was the case. How would he fair against prime Ward at 168? I would make Canelo a slight favourite.I never areed that Ward was p4p number 1 or as good as so many thought he was. I think Canelo beats him.

Before I would say Ward beats him easy, but I am not sure anymore. I don’t think Ward would be able to tired him up and push around. Canelo is just as good fighting inside IMO. It seems to me Canelo is punching harder than Ward, has a good variety of punches, and is strong as an ox.

I was thinking about this during the Smith fight. I never really imagined Canelo being this good at 168 to beat someone like Ward but he seems to have adapted to the new weight with ease. I’d still lean towards prime Ward for now but depending on what he did at 168 moving forward I could change my mind one day.

Canelo has really impressed everyone on this forum man its really scary when you get a thread like this. Not really even sure what to say besides Ward would beat him he'd be the 2nd pure boxer he faced and first he wouldn't be bigger than, which would be a culture shock. Whenever he loses again the internet will truly break.
