For those who think that Callum Smith didn't have enough time to prepare for Canelo:
“It’s been tough, but I’m a professional fighter and I’m paid to train and keep my body in the best shape possible and you’ve always got to be ready for the call and I got the Canelo call just over four weeks ago, and if I hadn’t been in the gym and living that type of life then I would have never been able to accept it, but I was.”
The article also mentions how Smith had been a potential Canelo opponent for months prior to the announcement. If he's ok with the prep time then I am as well and I'm looking forward to a good fight. Here is the full article if anyone is interested:

Great question and we don't know that for sure because what if Callum Smith had turned him down? I think both guys have been training with the other in mind but not in full training camp mode.
totally agree...
but, did canelo prepared for 2 months specifically for a callum?

There is still a difference between a 4-week training camp and an 8-week training camp. Bet your ass that Canelo was in full training camp mode for at least a month or two prior to choosing Smith.
I get what you're saying. I would add that Callum Smith has been a potential opponent for months and he says he's been training. Maybe not full training camp mode but he's had Canelo on his radar and vice versa.
As for Canelo, I imagine that he has also been training but not in full training camp mode. We don't know for sure that he's been training specifically for Callum Smith all this time because what if Smith had turned him down?
He may have rejected it because of short notice. These guys walk around heavy, they need more than a month or two to shed that weight so they aren't depleted. Or maybe the money wasn't right. Either way, four weeks is not a sufficient training camp.

preparing for callum a month before ?
funny how after canelo solved his deal with golden boy and dazn the first fight they tried to get was caleb plant... smith came later after haymon rejected that fight...
