I think this fight will be very good early on honestly. Canelo will get to him but he’s gonna have to work for it and it’s going to be competitive for the first half.
Most people know this is an easy win for Canelo, it’s not the most intriguing fight out there. Also, no one is promoting it, at least not anyone with GBPs reach.
The promotion for this fight has been non-existent. Doesn't help that the undercard is bad and limited crowd audience. Might be the least watched and least anticipated Canelo fight in years.
--- Media been yakking for months now.
U Rip Van Winkle?
no ive just been a fly on the wall for along time i had another account 915angel but i forgot the password to that one and dont have access to that email anymore
Because nobody gives Smith a chance, the only people talking him up are Canelo fans. In general it seems there is very little hype for any fight at the moment. People kept asking why nobody cared about the AJ fight as well. Guarantee in the next few days we'll have a 'notice how nobody cares about the GGG fight this weekend?' thread. Boxing is still not back to normal and most of the biggest fights feature a guy facing a 10/1 underdog
The truth. Green K.
That's what my last post meant.
It blows my mind that anybody could shade this fight...
I gotta say it seems extremely weird and somewhat ridiculous seeing boxing fans shade this fight.
Before the Smith/Ryder, I remember a bunch of talk about how Canelo was avoiding Callum, Callum was the best in the division, etc etc etc. This was like the year before Benevidez came back. Sooo many dudes were asking, why not C smith, we wanna see him fight C Smith, He's ducking, blah blah blah.
So now he's fighting one of the top guys in the division, and there's all this shade ? I don't get it. I wish more people would speak up to support this. It's almost like, " Well let's see Alvarez fight Usyk, and then we'll be impressed. " Go ahead and talk trash, but don't act like this is a bad fight. This is a damn good fight.
The guy is a legit champ and ring #1. Every expert has him top #3
Plant did want that work so Canelo moved on. Saunders don't want it either.
But I'm sure you rank Simon Sesmetta higher than Smith..
Yeah he sure deserves the Ring and WBA 168 belt by beating the likes of Erik Skoglund, Nieky Holzken and George Groves in a weak ass 168 tournament. Also consider the fact a bunch of 168lbs moved up to 175 while he went on that dangerous run to win those belts in a weak tournament.
Smith stinks man. Canelo going to light his ass up against a stiff ass slow overhype Brit fighter.
I'm looking forward to the fight. I fully expect, and I felt this before the Ryder fight, that Canelo will KO Smith. Maybe not early, but at some point. I see it becoming very one-sided after the first few rounds, and a chance for Canelo to really showcase his ability.
Don’t waste your time. These Canelo fanboys going to do what they do best and just defend their hero.
Boxing powers that be want to make it seem this is a good fight and that Smith is dangerous and the #1 at 168 is crap. Desperate to make excuses for this fight, this is Rocky Fielding all over again
You can’t say it’s another RF when Smith absolutely destroyed RF!
Even if you think it’s a comfortable win it’s not another RF
