In the Am's there's a Masters division for 35+ boxers. Considering the competitiveness of this weekends match, would you be opposed to a 45+ Pro division?
Its sad to see old favorites try to make a comeback to only be defeated by a youngster. This way they can fight someone their age, less rounds, and shorter round times. 3 weight classes, Light, Middle, & Heavy.
What do u think?
I wouldn’t necessarily want it but if it allows older guys who are going to continue anyway to compete more safely I would see it as a reasonable alternative.
Thats the way I see it.

how was tyson-jones jr competitive? It was basically 1-2 then hold and wait for the end of the round. Was there testing for this match? The only way it would be competitive if this were to continue is to let these old farts pump themselves full of Testosterone and steroids.
It was more entertaining than a lot of HW fights. I remember falling asleep 2xs during Klitchko vs. Fury.
I wouldn't have a problem with it. If it's entertaining then people will watch and if not, they won't.
Yeah, I think commissions would have to take a lot into consideration medical #1 and the draw another. If it makes financial sense for both men, no1 should deny a man a payday.
I would not want it. There are enough bs fights already. These fights might replace normal good fights. If a boxer is too old just retire for health and safety.
I think that a master's division would provide another platform to promote "normal, good fights" as you put it. For example, the opening bout was great and those guys got to perform in front of a much larger audience than they normally would.

No. I think one of the saddest things is that espn put the results of this fight in the crawler at the bottom of the screen despite the fact they ignore major fights for the most part.
The sport needs attention on the young guys not the retired ones.
